Went to southern Indiana to experience eclipse totality, and everything went perfectly. I found this great little bungalow close to where I wanted to be, and it did not dissapoint. Everything is new; new construction, new interior, etc. Has just one room (what back in the college days would be called an "efficiency"), but plenty big enough for two people (single queen bed). Oh, and the front porch is great. Spent the first night sitting on the porch and enjoying the rain on the roof as I planned my next day's ventures. Two things that may or may not be deal-breakers (they certainly weren't for me); the adjacent road is a main drag in and out of town, and can be a bit noisy in the early AM. And there is a historic cemetery occupying the neighboring lot. Maybe an issue for some people, but I actually found it peaceful and reflective.
