We LOVED our stay here!! The building, though historic, has been lovingly and painstakingly renovated into individual ensuite apartments, complete with a sitting room and kitchen. The attention to detail is impressive! Breakfast can be provided in the form of each room's fridge being stocked with all the essentials - juice, milk, yogurt, cheese, ham, butter, jams, eggs, and wonderful fresh bread. Coffee, tea, and granola bars are also provided. The location is perfect - an easy walk to the Old Town area of Quito, the Basilica, and several good restaurants (we especially enjoyed Bandido Brewing). There is a small grocery right next door, a little empanada takeout a couple of doors down, and a good pizza place right across the street (they will deliver to your room!). We also took advantage of the very reasonably priced driver/tour guide services offered by them- for transport to and from the airport, as well as for a couple of day trips around Quito and to the Mindo cloud forest for ziplining, hiking, and touring a chocolate factory. Our English-speaking drivers/guides were incredibly helpful and personable, and we so enjoyed our time with each of them! Finally, the staff were all amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. So very accommodating, friendly, and attentive! We have traveled all over the world and stayed in many unique and special places - These Suites rank right up there with the Best of the Best!
