Family vacation

We planned a surprise birthday party for our son and this property was less than 2 miles from his house so it worked out great. It does have military planes constantly flying over during the week, but it's nice and quiet on the weekend. Would book it again when we need it.

4/10 – Slecht

Negatief: Netheid, locatie en accuraatheid advertentie
This review probably won’t matter because the house was for sale, by the owner and that was not made clear so the fear of someone showing up unannounced was real the whole time. The windows are so old you can hear everything through them, including the jets landing a block away. The yard was unkept and filthy, then the owner sends a lawn guy the day after we check in which was awkward and made more of a mess than anything since the yard was 90% dirt. There were old dog droppings all over the backyard that were there long before our dog.
Giant rat traps that could have seriously injured our dog
More traps and garbage in the yard
Gaping holes in the fence
Fixes for the gaping holes

Thank you for your feedback. We take all guest experiences seriously and want to provide some additional context for future travelers. During this stay, additional large dogs were brought to the property beyond what was disclosed at booking. This required follow-up on our end and created some challenges during the reservation. Guest privacy is always a priority. As for the yard, we maintain a regular service schedule to keep the property in good condition, which is why a lawn professional visited during your stay. The home is inspected prior to each arrival to ensure it is clean and ready. This is rare and usually happens between stays. We stand by the condition of our home and the experience we provide, as reflected in our many 5-star reviews from other guests. We remain committed to clear communication and delivering a high standard for every stay.

Nice quiet house

We stayed for 5 days and didn’t want to leave. The neighborhood is quiet. The house is as pictured on Vrbo. Beds are comfortable and pillows nice. The kitchen has the essentials for cooking and a good stove and refrigerator. I liked to spend time on the patio in the backyard in the evening. Alan and Jennifer are great hosts.

Cozy

House was the perfect size for our family. The kitchen was lacking a little. No sink stopper, silverware was not ideal and cooking utensils were flimsy. Beds were SUPER comfortable and the bedding was so soft. Water got extremely hot and I would absolutely recommend adjusting the hot water heater. Overall great stay!

Thank you for your stay and review! There was a VRBO description error and we corrected our listing information regarding tub. Next time you come stay, please reach out to us during the stay and we can address any concerns you have. Thank you! :)

Not good

Could not get in the door. Code provided was only for the security alarm, not the for the front door lock. Neither VRBO nor I could reach owner/property manager for help. VRBO cancelled our booking, but we were stuck looking for a hotel room ourselves at 10:00 pm on a Saturday night. Whole experience was negative.

Hello. This is so unfortunate. Especially since VRBO automatically sends access details. This was in addition to us manually sending through the app. We understand not everyone utilizes the app well and we now include our phone number to help with extra assistance. We hope you will come stay again!

Outdated home w/strange smells

The house is overall outdated. The beds are very uncomfortable and the showers are small. The overall house had a strange smell from the moment we got there. After leaving and coming back a few hours later a strange egg/vomit smell was in the hallway between the bathroom and bedrooms. Overall circulation of the air conditioning in the house is not very good. We also had to call the host as we did not receive the access code for the front door. Host was quick to respond. Would not stay here again.

Thank you for this review! Unfortunately, we did not hear from you during your stay and wish that we had. It may have been from the gathering that was held during your stay? Either way, we have not had reviews like this (before or after your stay) and the house is professionally deep cleaned after every guest. We did notice after your stay that there was an excessive amount of trash left out? That may have been your issue. Either way, thank you for staying and we would love to have you back!
