Wonderful visit with family!

This is our 2nd year staying at Salt Light, and it was clean, well located to the beach, and the Itrip team is always top notch when we had questions! Planning to book for summer #3!

We had a great stay! The house is very close to the beach. We rented a golf cart and hardly used it to get to and from the beach. The pool was excellent and the pool guy came twice during our stay.

Great house for family vacation

We had a great time in this house at Oak Island. We had 4 kids and 8 adults and there was room for everyone. The house was super clean, updated and comfortable. The pool, although small, was great for after the beach and to sit around - and it was mostly shaded in the afternoon, which was nice! The location was perfect (we did rent a golf cart to haul all our stuff to the beach everyday) and that stretch of the beach was so nice! I would absolutely recommend this house and would love to stay again.

Awesome house & experience

We had the best time during our stay! Very quiet street and the home was perfect and family friendly! It has everything that you need for a stay at the beach. Loved the elevator for getting our things upstairs. Great views from the huge porches. Would definitely stay again, we had a great vacation!

Great Beach Getaway

Lovely house with lots of great amenities! The location was outstanding…just a short walk of several blocks to a direct beach access at the end of the street. Family members enjoyed the pool. The elevator was quite a bonus. I would highly recommend this beach house.

We really liked the location of the house to the beach, stores, and restaurants. First time vacationing at Oak Island and it is a very nice area. The pool was a big hit especially for the kids. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 4 kids in the house comfortably. The bathrooms, kitchen and beds were very nice. There were a few things that could be improved. There were no dish towels and limited starter supplies. The one bunk bed was alittle shakey and squeaky. The furniture could be better quality for what we paid. The grill should be checked weekly since it caught on fire from the grease tray and burners being full but we cleaned it all out for the future house guests. Better ventilation in the lower level also. The beverage cooler was a plus and communication with the host very prompt for other minor things.

This house has it all. Great location (steps from the beach), fully stocked kitchen, spacious rooms, incredible deck space, pool that is perfect for kids, all your outdoor beach needs, and more. This almost new home was perfect in every way. Walking distance to the beach, clean, elevator, all amenities needed were present, great customer service through itrip agency. Ready to rent again next year!

We were very pleased with this home! We had three families and ample space for us all! We loved the decks and pool, plenty of space in the garage for our beach and outdoor things, outdoor hoses for spraying off and fully stocked kitchen! Some of the bathrooms were missing soap, and the kitchen did not have many dish towels or washcloths. But everything was comfortable and spacious! The walk to the beach was as described and convenient. The elevator was very helpful! We brought a baby gate for the stairs but it was too small for the space. So having one that fits would be helpful. The closets and dressers and suitcase racks were so nice to have! We would book this home again!

Salt Light was a great home. Everything you needed and more. Very clean and well maintained house. Definitely recommend this house. Would recommend a electric blower for out side use around the pool and to keep sand tracked to keep a clean area for guest to use.

Awesome House!

We loved staying at Salt Light. The highlights were the porch with an ocean view and cool breezes, and the proximity to the ocean. It was a short three minute walk. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook almost every dinner at home. James, iTrip owner, was very responsive to any questions/ issues that arose during our stay. There were plenty of beach chairs, games and toys to use at the beach. There was even workout equipment! Seems the owners had thought of everything for a great stay. The house was clean and had plenty of space for all 10 of us. We would definitely rent this house again.

Great Stay

We had a wonderful stay in Oak Island at a home managed by iTrip. The location was excellent—just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, shops, and ice cream, which was a big hit with our families. The house itself was beautiful, very clean, and offered the perfect amount of space and bathrooms for everyone to feel comfortable. That said, there are a few things that could really improve the experience for future guests. The house wasn’t stocked with any dish towels, and the number of bath towels/washcloths provided was very limited, which meant we had to do laundry much more often than expected. For the cost of the rental, it would have been greatly appreciated to have more basics included—such as garbage bags, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, and toilet paper—so that guests don’t have to buy full supplies for just a week and then leave them behind. Finally, the storage area of the home could definitely use some ventilation. It had a strong musty/moldy odor that made it unpleasant to use. Overall, we loved the home and location, but with a few thoughtful additions and improvements, it could be an exceptional rental experience.
