I cannot say enough about our Winter Weekend in this house. Chase is incredibly attentive to his property. We stayed here last year and we thought it was great then, but he is increasingly making improvements that made our stay even better. Mother Nature wasn’t so kind this year. The prior week brought snow and ice but Chase met us upon arrival and he was scraping and salting the ice to make our entry safe. Unfortunately we also had a short heat wave making the pond unusable for ice fishing, but we were still able to sled and have outdoor activities. The house itself is well stocked with cooking tools. Loved the huge griddle in the kitchen. Big hit. We are checking out Chase’s other properties as he is so accommodating and attentive. Thank you Chase for giving us the opportunity to make such fun family memories.

The house was lovely. It easily accommodated 11 adults. Pool was a great amenity for a hot week in August. Lots of fun things to do in the Saugatuck/South Haven area.

A great time was had by all! The biggest hit was the pool. It was HUGE and everyone enjoyed it, especially the kids. We also loved prepping and sharing our meals in the large kitchen and dining room.

Right away, we could tell the property was thoughtfully prepared... clean, spacious, and ready for our stay. The place definitely has it's quirks, but that added to the charm and uniqueness of the home. We were a little nervous at first about how our large group would fit and feel comfortable, but this property delivered and then some! There were many interesting spaces throughout the house and property that everyone had room to relax. Whether someone wanted a quiet moment with a book or a lively game in the indoor basketball court, there was something for everyone.The kitchen and dining areas were perfect for preparing and enjoying our big family dinners each night. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, and we especially appreciated the on-site laundry to keep towels clean during our week long stay.The outdoor space was absolutely spectacular. We spent our days swimming in the heated pool, relaxing on the wraparound porch, and soaking in the beautiful views of the pond. The air-conditioned gym and basketball court were huge bonuses... perfect for staying active and keeping the kids entertained.This place truly had it all... comfort, space, and charm. It was the perfect setting for reconnecting as a family. We can’t wait to come back!

Great for Multi-generational families

Fantastic! Our family (2 GP, 6 adults, 6 GC under 7). It is a renovated farmhouse so while everything may not be laid out exactly as one might have designed from the ground up we found the accommodations suited us well. The bedroom layout upstairs is a little different but it worked fine for us. There is only one bathroom upstairs so one family took their showers in the basement BR. The apartment has a spiral staircase access but we managed fine. The heated pool was fantastic. The living room also has a table which we used for puzzles at night. The dining area is huge. Chase was fantastic and very responsive. Chase is the GOAT!It was near record heat the week we were there so the pool got the most use of the amenities. The driveway is huge and grandkids loved scootering. They also hit golf balls in the yard/field. We also played tee-ball a couple of mornings. We also used the indoor, air-conditioned gym shooting hoops. We fished in the pond right out the basement door (each GC caught several).The one night it did cool down we used the fire pit and roasted marshmallows for smores. “The Little Store” is 1 minute up the road and has everything from ice cream to adult beverages.Some Visits: Oval Beach, The Kids Corner park and the pier in South Haven, Pirates Landing mini golf course in Holland followed by lunch at Beechwood Grill, Shultz Park playground (they also have pickleball courts) and had breakfast at Crane’s Pie and Pantry (where they also have u-pick options).

Our Winter Weekend

First let me start with the negatives……wait, there were NONE! If I could give 8 stars I would. Everything about our rental was fantastic, from the property itself and the owner. We’ve been renting houses for our winter getaway for the past 20 years and I can truly say this was our best. The house itself is amazing. So spread out and with our group of 37 that’s huge. The separate apartment housed our older girls. Big hit with them. I read reviews saying the kitchen was well stocked - understatement. It had everything. We wanted for nothing. Then there’s Chase, the owner. He couldn’t have been more accommodating. He responded to all my messages immediately. Wait. There was one negative aspect- we didn’t stay long enough. Next year we’re adding another day to our stay. Thank you Chase for helping us make such wonderful memories.

27th Girls Weekend

The house was tons of fun! Lots of space and beds. Chase was extremely responsive and made a special trip out to the house to bring us additional chairs for us all to enjoy a fire together.

Great Place for an Outing

Rented this for an outing of 14. The location is great! There is a winery 5 minutes away and Douglas and Saugatuck are about 15 minutes away. Even though it was too cold for the pool, the property made a great home base. The indoor basketball was a huge hit as well!

Terrific Place for larger groups

This place has an abundance of sleeping (mostly king beds), bathroom, seating, dining, and sunning spaces. Great layout and the pool was very refreshing. The privacy, especially in the pool area was awesome. Lots to do with the pool, game room, basketball court, fire pit, gazebo shade area and screened in porch. We had a fantastic stay!

Family vacation

The house exceeded our expectations! Fully equipped with everything you need for the kitchen, baths and bedrooms. We all enjoyed the pool, the pond for fishing and all the grounds. The second floor with 4 bedrooms and only 1 bath not ideal but we made it work. Chase was awesome to work with and responded immediately to some small issues that we had.

This property worked well for our family reunion of 18 people. We had 7 couples and 4 small children. I would not have wanted more people staying.

Family Vacation 2024

We had a great time in Fennville, Saugatuk, Douglas and Holland. Visiting each one of those places. We ate at many different places in saugatuk. The house was large enough for our 16 adults and children. We didn’t like the bedroom layout upstairs where you had to pass thru bedrooms to get to the bathroom and there is only one bathroom for all the beds upstairs. The pool was not heated and it was definitely cold in July. The apartment my daughter and her family stayed in had spiral staircase going up to the apartment which was difficult to maneuver with 2 little ones along with spiral staircase up to bedroom where they should of slept but my daughter didn’t like kids going up and down staircase. Too dangerous. They wanted their own space with children so they chose the apartment. The parking was plentiful for all our cars. We had 7 cars there usually. Outdoor pool bathroom with shower was not available as it was being remodeled. I was not aware of this until I got there and we were going to use it as a place to shower for some of adults. Also basement with washers and dryers had two sets of bunk beds which I don’t consider this a bedroom. The living room had a full size sofa and love seat for seating. Need more places for people to sit and watch TV. The owner was very quick in responding to any of my questions or needs. We would like to vacation in Saugatuk next year. The weather was absolutely gorgeous with no humidity like Ohio.

Great place for March Madness watch party

The indoor basketball court was a perfect compliment for our weekend of March Madness. We played many games of 3 on 3 basketball. We also played bags (corn hole) in the space next to the basketball court. This indoor basketball court meant that we did not need to care about the weather at all. We were able to do everything we wanted no matter what. We had 15 adult men, everyone had their own bed. We explained that we wanted to have all the games on at the same time, and the host brought over a huge (65", 70" ???) TV for the dining room. (In addition to all the TVs that were already in the house) so that we could have all the games on at the same time. Every question we had was answered quickly and accurately. The kitchen setup with a commercial 6 burner stove and large stainless steel grill allowed us to cook for 15 men quickly and efficiently. As a group, we did not have a single complaint.

Family Fun

We have a large family and rarely have get togethers. A friend described a family weekend she had recently and I loved the sound of it. We planned a board game weekend for the family. There was 26 invited. We had a wait list of many many more. a few cancelled and those slots were easily filled. The dining area had exceptional lighting and perfect for this gathering. The kitchen is a gourmets dream. It was better equipped than I was led to believe. (please add a garlic press to the utensil drawer) We arrived just ahead of a January Blizzard we were snowed in for the weekend ( The property managers plowed and salted very well) We had a murder mystery and all participated. We had score boards and a lot of fun. Everyone raved about the venue. The amenities that we did not partake like the swimming pool looked amazing. Refrigerator space aplenty. Only one bathroom in the upper level was a small inconvenience for showering. But bedrooms were assigned accordingly to provide privacy. The bedroom containing the loft makes it necessary to pass through a bedroom to get to but with proper thought it caused no problems. Several of our guests have suggested renting this same venue again and possibly in the summer. But it really was a perfect winter retreat. (hot tub outside of basement walk out might be nice in winter addition )

Awesome Stay!

Birthday weekend stay for my oldest daughter! More then enough room....beautiful home and decore! Chase was awesome, and answered our calls and questions in a very timely manner, before, during and after our stay. The home made us feel at home and so did he. Wonderful Birthday Celebration

Opportunity for several family members coming from all areas of the country to celebrate a 90th birthday. This was the perfect location within airport distance and amenities were awesome. The communication with Chase was always efficient and quick. Enjoyed working with him. This property has tremendous opportunity and would love to go back.

Family Trip

Very spacious, unique rental for our group of 20 (adults & kids). Some of our favorite things about the house included the big dining space, ping pong table in basement, firepit, pool, and wrap around porch with great views of the pond. We also enjoyed the nearby wineries and it was a quick drive to Saugatuck.

Beautiful Relaxing Getaway

Our family stayed here and had a most relaxing vacation. The pool is big, clean and beautiful. The house had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to host all 20 of us. We had fun playing sports on the huge flat grounds and in the indoor basketball court/gym. There was plenty of space for mealtime for the 20 of us. Any questions we had were promptly answered by texting our host. We wish we could stay longer. Will definitely hope to come back next summer!

Amazing home for family vacations!!

We had a larger group so hotels were out of the question due to cost! We loved being able to have a place for everyone to stay and play as well as making all our own meals! Although, the location allows for excellent dining options in the local small towns around the property. The pool area was both fun and relaxing, with a large pool, outdoor restroom, fountain, and beautiful view of the pond all in one space! We spent our evenings on the porch soaking in the family time and gorgeous setting. The kids had a blast playing in the pool, barns, and vast property (they told us they never wanted to leave)! We look forward to making this a yearly vacation spot!
