Excellent place for our large family. Plenty of hot water! The views are spectacular and the host is very attentive. Beds are all very comfortable. The kitchen was very clean and laid out well for preparing meals. We would stay here again.

Great home, very friendly host, extremely convenient

Great location and very convenient to get to and from the mountain. Home was in perfect shape, very clean, and plenty of space for everyone. Check in was very easy.

Amazing Stay

Huge cabin with plenty of room for everyone. Very good communication and very helpful with the ski in ski out trails. Can’t wait to do it again!

Great family home!

This place was amazing! It was as described and the owner was so easy to get along with. Amazing views, lots of places to sleep, living room with 6 couches, great for families. We will definitely come back!

Perfect group getaway.

We stayed with our ski group for the Schweitzer freeride comp. Amazing hosts and perfect house for big groups. Everything you want and need and more! Highly recommend!

Great ski in / ski out cabin!

Our group of 14 fit comfortably in the house and enjoyed the ease of skiing into the village along with skiing back to the house. Kitchen was well equipped to cook for our entire group and Lou was so helpful.

Family ski vacation

3 generations in one house and it was FABULOUS! This house is so comfortable while offering plenty of family space and private space. Cannot describe how beautiful it is.

The place was very nice and had everything we needed for our ski club trip. The views are beautiful. It’s not 1 minute walk to village it’s one mile. Ski in ski out for more advanced skier not suitable for most especially with this years snow fall. Driveway definitely requires 4 wheel drive to get up and even then can be a challenge. Lou and Gene live on the lower level and are very helpful. Was clean and well stocked kitchen.

Best Place on the Mountain

Hands down nicest couple we’ve ever met. They are very accommodating and welcoming. Cabin is so spacious for larger groups. This is our second year back as there isn’t much comparable to this place.

Great Stay for Ski Vacation

We rented this place for a ski trip to Schweitzer mountain. The location was very convenient to get on and off the mountain. There was plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed group meals, relaxing in the jacuzzi and apres-ski around the fireplace. We were blessed with fresh powder which made navigating the steep driveway a bit of a challenge but hosts Lou and Gene were very helpful. Overall, it was a great stay and we would definitely stay again.

Great ski house for a large group

We loved our stay at this rental home. There were 9 adults and 8 kids, and we all fit very comfortably! The hot tub was perfect for apres ski. The living space had an abundance of couches. There was plenty of table space to eat at. The kitchen was well stocked. There were toys for the kids! It was conveniently located close to the mountain.

Superb Schweitzer Ski house

We rented this excellent house in March 2025 for a gathering of monoskiers and would definitely book this house again. We had 9 people in our group and everyone had plenty of space to lounge. Plenty of parking for 3 full size trucks and one suv. Ski out was great, ski in is a tad sporty Kitchen is well equipped and plenty of firewood on hand. Owners are quick to respond and were a pleasure to deal with.

Property suited our needs. Ski in and ski out difficult for newbie’s but access to parking by lifts was easy. Driveway is an issue when snow covered. Overall we had a fabulous family trip.

The perfect place for our crew!

It was the perfect place with the perfect host for a week at Schweitzer. Timing was right for fresh snow and cool temps. Ski-in ski-out was accessible even for the young ones. The large open living room is fantastic for family games in the evening, and all that with a view! Care is required on the driveway; four wheel drive is recommended, otherwise, there is some parking is available on the street below. Lou is a gem of a host and we are already planning for next year :)

Great House! Fantastic Views! We had a wonderful time!

The house is very spacious, there was plenty of space for our large family (9 adults, 9 kids). We loved everything about the house! The ski in -ski out access was magical, but a little tricky. Since we had 5 small children 6 and under, parents needed to drive them to the lift. The older children (ages 7, 8, 11, 12) and adults were able to do the ski access to lifts. The host, Lou, was very helpful and accommodating. We had a fabulous stay!

Great New Years Schweitzer ski trip

Terrific property for family and friends. Ski in and out (ask for directions on skiing back from the top chair). Well equipped kitchen, regular beds for 14, plus additional space on couches. We were 7 total, so space was ample. Lou was very attentive. Driveway was slippery, so one car opted to park in the spots along the road and walk up. Easy to do. Hot tub was nice and clean. Ample towels. Overall, a great stay and easy to cook and entertain.

Spacious House, Slightly Funky Layout

The house has a ton of space (and an even larger amount of couches), so the layout that is shown in the photos may not be how it looks for your stay. The owners live downstairs, which can be extremely nice if its snowing (or raining) and the driveway becomes treacherous. Ski-in/Ski-out would be very feasible in normal seasons, was a little dicey for us due to the incredibly low snow year Idaho was having.

Ski weekend

Lou is a pleasure to work with. Communication is easy and she gets back to you in a timely manner. Check in was easy and we were greeted by the owners upon arrival. The house is huge and fit 14 adults comfortably. Great location for ski in/out! Yes, the driveway is very slippery. You will need 4 wheel drive. The only two down falls were the microwave was broken and the hot tub was pretty murky. I’ve passed this house on to a few others looking for places to stay at Schweitzer that will accommodate a large group. This is it!

Beautiful location

Overall pretty good, beautiful view. Owners were pleasant, they work hard on making stay comfortable and they stay in basement. Bring own condiments, coffee filters, cooking spray. Master bath shower and sink and lights above didn't work, but I know they are working on completing remodel . Make sure to open draft when start a fire or house will fill up with smoke😳 Ski in/out is not easy to access but is possible.

Tami mentioned the steam in the master shower was not available, but the shower was working . Early season the ski back thru Spires was difficult, January - April it’s great, often the fresh tracks back to the house are some of our best turns 👍

Lots of space

The house is comfortable for large groups of people. The kitchen is well equipped but some maintenance is needed. There is plenty of seating and the hosts keep you well stocked with firewood. The hot tub is nice & clear. Be sure you have 4 wheel drive and snow tires to get up the driveway. You will definitely slide into the street if there is snow on the ground. It’s a short walk to the slope & you can ski right to the door. There are several unfinished projects - a bidet in the master bathroom, wires sticking out of several walls. Overall however it’s a good pick for a ski trip.

Schweitzer Mountain Ski Adventure

Our group has been doing an annual ski trip for more than 25 years now and this stay has been ranked #1 by far. A true skier's ski house with everything you need for a great ski vacation. I can't say enough about this home, its location and our hosts, Lou and Gene. From the moment we arrived on the mountain Lou was there to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We arrived at a spotless, well kept house with a fire roaring, incredible views, well stocked kitchen and laundry facilities, an abundance of towels, paper goods and bedding. This is a very spacious and comfortable, true ski-in, ski-out home; out the back of the house and literally ski right back to the covered hot tub and ski storage area/entrance. The hosts (the home owners) do live on site and are very respectful of your privacy. They were exceptionally attentive to making sure our stay was great, walkways were shoveled, hot tub maintained, firewood conveniently available, etc., etc.. If we needed anything they were right there to help or answer our questions. This is not your typical “company managed property”. If you are looking for a great ski-in ski-out, book this property! Thanks for making our stay a great experience!
