Wow! What a clean, comfortable stay we had here this summer! We’d love to stay here again. The location was perfect and the luggage lift was an amazing and thoughtful amenity.

Eric was quick to respond to any questions we had and very friendly. This was out first time staying south OBX. We have always stayed in Corolla. We loved the location, enjoyed the pool and were able to ride our bikes to Food Lion, restaurants, shops, the gym and the pool. The pup potty area was so convenient for our dogs. We had everything we needed (dishes, washer/dryer, internet...) We enjoyed the arcade and were happy to donate our quarters to help kitties in the area. Check in and check out were seamless. Our pups enjoyed the house and location also. Trips to the beach early morning and in the evening were convenient since we were a very short walk to the beach. Great place to stay!

A good vacation in a wonderful location

We had a great time at Shells Yeah! Loved the location and the beach. The week went too quick. Take plenty of pictures, stay up late and enjoy the sunsets!

The house was perfect! Even though the weather was a bit rainy the first couple days, the house was cozy and the quick walk to the beach to look at the stormy ocean was awesome. Kitchen was sparkling clean and very user friendly . Loved the porch for hanging out ..we will be back!

Perfect Location!

We were delighted with our stay at Shells Yeah. We were close to the sound and ocean for kiteboarding and owners were very responsive to our questions.

Easy Beach Access

Shell's Yeah is in a great location with easy beach access. The house is well equipped and the dog area is wonderful.

Just what we were looking for

This property was awesome. The home was clean, beautiful and well-appointed. It was in a quiet neighborhood and so close to the ocean. We stayed in early June, the weather was gorgeous and the area wasn't too crowded.

OBX Vacation

Great place. It is close to the ocean. Has a fenced in place for your dog to go potty. Loved the cargo lift also. The Welcome Basket was a very thoughtful touch. House was great.

Perfect House!

This was the perfect house for our group! Super close to the beautiful beach, comfy with enough room for teenagers to sprawl in the living room and we loved the screened in porch. This host has thought of everything including motion lights for the dog area!! Host was great too! We had one (very minor) issue in the beginning and he was super responsive and got it taken care of immediately. Would definitely recommend!

Great stay, very comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen. Easy walk to the public beach access and then over the dunes. Wonderful, practically deserted beach. House utilizes window a/c units, has brand new washer/dryer, and both showers had good pressure. Good internet, strong enough for two major work presentations; router is in the MBR and the further you are from there (eg on the porches), connection gets spotty. Owners are super-responsive to questions esp when VRBO cut off the instructions for the lockbox and we were trying to get in. Shells Yeah was definitely worth the drive for us! Thanks again!!

Great property, Great host, Great location!!

The property was exactly as it was described and our host was fantastic! Loved the welcome basket too. Property has a great location with direct access to the beach just a minute away. The community pool is nearby and very convenient. The house was great for our entire family which included 4 generations from 93 years young down to 5 years old. I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a little quieter part of the outer banks. Looking forward to a return trip. Thank you Eric for everything. Great memories for our family!!!

Little slice of heaven

What an incredible time we had during our stay at Shells, Yeah! The eclectic decor was fun and provided its own entertainment. The home was immaculately cleaned and nicely appointed. There was plenty of room for four adults to relax in the living area and the kitchen has everything needed to feel at home while cooking. The large washer made clean up after beach days a breeze! Location was perfection! A quiet neighborhood with a short walk to a pristine, wide beach with plenty of room—not crowded at all, even in peak season. Owners are very responsive to messages and have provided everything needed for a perfect getaway. Highly recommend!!

Looking for a relaxing vacation? Shells Yeah!

Shells Yeah was very welcoming with a convenient cargo lift to bring up all of our luggage at arrival, a welcome basket with essentials and a nice gift. We enjoyed all of the windows, sky light in the living room, screened in porch with a hammock swing for a good book reading spot, and spacious side porch to enjoy the sunshine when not down at the beach. We don’t travel without our two small dogs (one is 12 years old!) so we were very pleased with the short walk to the beach and it being pet friendly! Our dogs LOVE the beach as much as we do. The pet area was perfect for letting our dogs out to potty and easily clean up. It inspired us to make something like this back home! We made dinner at the rental a couple nights of our trip and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook with. The hosts were a quick message away and were even so kind to message and let us know it was ready earlier than check-in time on our arrival date. Thanks for a great stay. We hope to stay again soon!!

Great relaxing vacation get away

The check in process was easy. The place had a beach themed charm that was clean and refreshing! I loved the kitchen dining and living room open concept. The pac man game was fun but you have to have quarters to play! And we did atelast 20 worth of quarters!! You cannot hear the ocean from the house or see it however it is a close walk! The 45 second walk to the beach access is easy and flat straight to the end of the street. The access then allows you to walk a short distance on a wooden walk way then you meet the sand dunes. Once over the sand dunes you see the beach. I myself am 47 and had 6 teens we realistically could walk to the beach where we would sit in 3-5 minutes. My parents both struggled. My kids saw a total of 3 roaches that was found in the room with the bunk beds where they were. When I found out I reached out to the property manager in the late evening and he immediately got pest control out the next day. They did a thorough job and nothing else was found so this did not upset our stay in anyway, shape or form as this type of thing can happen and the place was and is very clean. I was also very impressed at how quickly the host responded to my concern. The house is centrally located to the pool shopping and activities! The cargo lift was awesome! The shower and water hose area under the house was also a huge bonus as everyday we went to the beach and didn’t want to track sand in to the house! My group had 9 people and the house was plenty big and roomy!

Shells Yeah! was a great place for our stay in Avon! The beach was not super crowded, access to the beach was super close & easy & the house well-appointed & clean! The owner was extremely responsive and helped us with a couple of minor snafus in a timely manner. You shouldn’t have to bring anything for the kitchen except maybe a few Tupperware containers for left-overs. And extra paper towels &/or dish towels. The deck & screened porch were great for sunning & reading. We were very grateful for the cargo lift. We found the house very comfortable & would definitely stay there again!

Perfect house for us!

What a great location and a fun house. It’s a short walk to the beach, and the being on the north end of Avon means we had more privacy. One of the things that sets this rental apart is that it’s a home - we immediately felt comfortable.

Perfect house in a great location

This property is the perfect place for a family vacation. It is so close to the beach and several great restaurants. The living area is very spacious with three full size couches and a large kitchen table-enough room for everyone. In addition, the house has four furnished bedrooms that sleep ten. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Time!!

We had a great time at Shells Yeah! The walk to the beach was very short, about 1-2 minutes due to toddler travel, however, it was a very nice walk. Loved the fact there was a cargo lift to get all of our stuff up to the house. The screened in porch was great for eating outside and hanging out at night! The owners were very responsive and helped us out with whatever we needed. Dairy Queen is within walking distance which was great for our kids and shops are just a mile or so down the road. We are hoping to come back next year!

Lovely stay for humans and dogs

We had a very nice vacation. 🙂 Owners were very good in making a special accommodation for us. Beach was a little walk over the dune but it was worth it, a beautiful, quiet beach without too many other people on it. Mr. Day was very responsive when we had concerns or questions.

Great fall getaway
