Disappointing Stay with Unmet Cleanliness Standards
Our recent stay at this property was deeply disappointing & fell far below expected standards.My family & I travel together frequently & are accustomed to normal wear & tear in accommodations, but the condition of this property was unacceptable.
The entire house was poorly maintained: hardwood floors & rugs were visibly dirty, walls stained & some punctured,& living areas were neglected with used tissues & dirty, stained chairs. The kitchen was in a similar state, featuring a filthy garbage can and a coffee pot with moldy filters and splattered drippings on the cupboards.
The bedrooms were just as concerning, with visibly dirty bedding with hair and dead bugs. I had to wash everything upon arrival late at night with my own limited supply of laundry soap. We found remnants of previous stays like Skittles, a dirty sock, a clothing tag, and a used bag, indicating a severe lack of cleanliness. Also, we found a bedroom not as depicted online with a very dirty blue futon, which was unusable.
The vents were clogged with dust & seemed neglected for some time. When I reached out to the host,the host’s slow response led to an inadequate cleaning attempt by a service that arrived unannounced and was ill-equipped, leaving the issues largely unresolved.
This experience highlights the serious need for significant improvements in maintenance and host responsiveness. Future guests would benefit from a commitment to thorough cleaning and attentive service to ensure a comfortable stay.
