The property was exactly as described. When we got there it was simple to check in. The directions given made the place easy to find. Lots of places for children or in our case our pets to roam and enjoy thoroughly. Everything we needed in the kitchen was accounted for. Would absolutely stay here again.

We had a nice stay. The beds appeared to be double beds not queen in the bedrooms and made sleeping a bit more complicated. The location is very rural and the road going in is long and dusty. We did see one mouse but it quickly ran away.

This cabin is truly in the middle of no where. We loved the privacy. The one down fall was the lack of data service and limited wifi. We have AT&T and often were not able to get a signal. But we made it work. The river was a little walk but there was a mowed trail and the river was wonderful. We had fun swimming as did our dogs. The road to get there was tight at spots but we had no troubles on it. We saw a lot of deer and fawns. The front porch swing was nice and the large trees keep the front porch shaded. There was a musky smell at first but once we turned on the window air conditioners it went away.

I'm glad you had a great stay! Please check back in early next year for high-speed fiber optic internet. They plan to have it available by the end of 2026. It is already available at our other cabin, just 1/4 mile downstream of this one!

This was our first booking through Vrbo. Larisa was super responsive to all of our questions/concerns. The cabin was clean and perfect for our family vacation. This property has several spots to cast out your line and fish. We saw deer several times during our stay. This property is beautiful, quiet and a dog/kid paradise. Both of our kids, ages 16 and 5 loved the cabin. The bathrooms are super nice and the hot tub was great after a day of hiking.

The property was perfect to relax and unwind. Clean, private, and in a beautiful location.The kitchen was great to cook in, the bathrooms were beautiful, and the owner is an excellent artist! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to escape to the WV mountains.

Relaxing getaway

3rd year staying in this cabin. Has all the amenities we need and host is very responsive to any questions we have. Peaceful location and short drive to go snow tubing or sledding. Relaxing getaway!

Mountain stream spring retreat.

Great location and property. Loved kayaking the river and looking for fossils on the beach bank! The hot tub and fire pit were welcome companions after a long day of exploring wild wonderful WV. Will stay again!

Quiet Getaway

If you are looking for a quiet getaway this property is perfect. If you want to go to town frequently this is not for you. We stayed for 4 nights and just enjoyed the nature.

Stay was great, House was very clean, some brightening/additional lighting on the inside would be welcome but for a cabin on the edge of woods, in the mountains it was just what we were looking for.The property was amazing and Shaver’s Fork offered endless breathtaking views!Close enough to some local amenities and all the hiking hot spots (Blackwater falls, Seneca Rocks etc) but far enough out to feel secluded from the hustle of everyday life.Would absolutely stay again

Great Creekside Stay in the Mountains

Our family had a fabulous time relaxing in the cabin. We enjoyed walking around on the property and taking the hike suggested in the guidebook. The hot tub was a nice treat in the drizzling spring rain. I would suggest bringing a favorite DVD for family movie time as the wifi was spotty. Great trip

Quiet, Peaceful and Beautiful

Spacious property, lots of walking opportunities. Our son fished, daughter and son-in-law splashed in the river. We sat by the creek and played our ukuleles and sang old time tunes. The house had everything we needed for cooking, showers, laundry and relaxing.

Great house and location. Really enjoyed our stay. Our dogs particularly loved the freedom of being able to snoop around the property and even though it was a chilly week enjoyed jumping in and out of the creek.

Quiet Retreat

My husband and I stayed with our two dogs. We enjoyed walking the property and even the water out back. The drive to the cabin was very curvy and we were pretty far off from town. We even saw 2 baby black bear cubs! The cabin came equipped with everything we needed.

We had a great time at this private river oasis, we took our dogs to the river two of the 3 days we stayed and enjoyed everything nature had to offer. We had a storm roll in one of the nights so we stayed in and enjoyed a movie and cooked dinner in the well maintained kitchen. Enjoyed coffee in the sunroom every morning and got to watch wild life come by to join us. Overall we had a blast and got to get away from the city limits for a couple days. Highly recommended it for families and pets!

Home was as described. Very quiet and serene! Host was helpful and prompt. The hot tub had to be drained the first night so we could not use it. I feel that should have been taken care of before our arrival. Everything else was wonderful.

Relaxing Weekend

We booked this gem in the woods for a quick weekend getaway and glad we did! The house was great. We had teens, a toddler, and our lab who had no problem making themselves at home :)
