Only a 15 minute drive from La Punta, Puerto Escondido, this private farm stay offers the perfect balance of experiencing the wild Oaxacan coast, and the convenience of being close to town.
The house is situated in a lush banana farm which grows a variety of tropical fruits which guests are permitted to pick and eat as much as they want. The house also has a private pool, and is only a 7 minute walk from a spectacular beach with warm blue water and good waves for surfing. Surfboards provided!
The space
This home has amazing quality and comfort, with its own swimming pool and beautiful artisan finishes, a kitchen abounding in fruit from the farm and great kitchen appliances, comfortable beds with cotton sheets, air conditioning in the Master bedroom and strong fans in both bedrooms.
This home also has the perfect balance of indoor/outdoor living, with the feeling of being in a treehouse with its outdoor bathroom (showering under the moon) and upstairs kitchen/living/dining room with 360 degree views of the farm and jungle landscape, but while still being able to close up the doors to the bedrooms, turn on the AC, and escape the elements.

On the farm we grow coconuts, 10 varieties of bananas, mangoes, papayas, Chico Zapote, Star Fruit, Sour Sop and more. Our main home is also on the property in which we live as well as sometimes rent out.
The house is only a 6-9 minute walk on a beautiful jungle road from a spectacular beach which at times has turquoise calm water for swimming, and at times has quality powerful waves for surfing, with pretty much no other surfers around. We also provide surfboards for guests to use during their stay.

Aside from being a short drive from Puerto Escondido, the farm is situated on the outskirts of a small village which also has convenience of an amazing local restaurant and a small grocery store only a 3 minute walk from the house.

Also we would like to remind you before booking that this is the Central American tropics, so you may encounter bugs of many shapes and sizes, and even the occasional scorpion, mainly in the kitchen and bathroom which are open air. Once it is dark upstairs in the kitchen area, mosquitos and little beetles are attracted to the lights and like to show up! Keep the fans on the highest setting to offset the bugs :)

This tropical home only offers cold water & the upstairs is not safe for kids because of its low walls and thin railings on the stairs.

The water from our UPSTAIRS kitchen tap is filtered well water and good to drink, but the shower and downstairs faucet water is not filtered and is not recommended to drink.

GETTING HERE: In order to fully enjoy the area, ideally you would want a car while stay at our property in order to make getting around more convenient, but if you don't bring a car, there are also various forms of public transport to arrive and leave from the property including the following: buses, shared vans, or taxis. Also finding the property is quite easy being that our gate and entrance is unique.
Other things to note
Although our wifi is strong enough to facetime or stream movies and is quite fast overall, it is not uncommon for there to be lapses in the wifi connection at times.
