380 ft van particuliere en grazige Battenkill rivier voorgevel: Dit is een droom locatie voor fly-vissers, kajakkers, kanovaarders, fietsers, wandelaars, golfers, ruiters. Skiërs, schilders, fotografen, schrijvers zullen genieten van deze Norman Rockwell's dorpshuis. De MASS MOCA, Dorset Horse Show, de verkooppunten in Manchester, het circuit in Saratoga, Lake George .... zijn allemaal met een korte rit. Arlington Village ligt op 5 minuten lopen. Stratton en Bromley skigebieden zijn ca. 12 -16 mijl afstand.
Vermont met charme, dicht bij de NY en MA grenzen, 7 mijl naar Manchester en haar verkooppunten, restaurants. Dicht bij Bromley en Stratton skigebieden, in een recreatiegebied. Deze mooi ingerichte woning is niet 'zomaar een verhuur.' Het heeft veel karakter en stijl. Er is geen betere locatie op de Battenkill: kijken naar de rivier, vissen, en kajak of kano vanaf uw eigen achtertuin, koken, genieten van het leven op de rivier.
Het Thuis
De keuken was een 18e-eeuwse één kamer huis, was de belangrijkste kern gebouwd ca. 1840; de woonkamer en slaapkamer zijn een 20e eeuwse toevoeging.
UNIEK: ca. 100 meter van het water! En vol met veel plezier, karakter, en licht!
Oudere, afgewerkt gouden houten vloeren in oudere bouw, nieuwe bossen (kersen en eiken) naast. Gloednieuwe olie warmte oven (maart 2010) en water plint radiatoren, twee zones. Houtkachel in de woonkamer.
Boven: 2 slaapkamers, eventueel 3 (met behulp van de Artist Studio 13ft / 13ft). De slaapkamer is ca. 13ft / 21ft en heeft een nieuwe kersen vloer, 3 grote kasten en een terras met uitzicht op de rivier. Beneden: Office (9ft / 9ft), eetkamer (12 + ft / 19ft) met uitzicht op de rivier, op de keuken door middel van een bar, op het Bureau door middel van openslaande deuren; Grote en lichte woonkamer (13ft / 21ft) met uitzicht op de rivier door middel van een dek .... Een bad en een Wasserij / bijkeuken hebben een eigen badkamer van de Keuken. Twee portieken en een dek kijken uit op de rivier, de koeien en paarden, en het dorp ...
 Ook: Huis: ca. 1,700sq. voeten, alleen Land: 0. 48 acre maar 380 voet van de waterkant en de open
gazon ziet er enorm en geweldig. Tegenover de Recreational Park: Openbare tennis, golf, ijsbaan, basketbalveld, gezondheid trail, zwembad ...

Perfect Romantic Getaway on the River

The home was gorgeous and was very comfortable. It felt like a secluded spot away from a beautiful little town. There was even seating by the river that provided a beautiful spot to drink coffee each morning. It was just the experience my fiancé and I were looking for!

Perfect VT River Hideaway

We had a brilliant stay in this delightful VT farmhouse, which is completely up to date, and absolutely stunning. Super clean, fantastic decor, great and everything needed-in-kitchen, even a washer/dryer! Brigitte is quick to respond and delightful. PS...great fishing and relaxing under the willows right on the Battenkill River...

Brigitte’s quaint Vermont house was just what our family was looking for for a small winter vacation

The house fit my family perfectly. It was a great experience. Manchester is a great town about 9 miles away with great restaurants. Skiing was not too far away either. Looks like a lot to do in summer there also. Brigitte was great as well. Very cute home. We had a great time.

Perfect Getaway

We enjoyed our stay in VT. The location of the house was perfect. We were able to launch our kayaks right from the property. There was a Par 3 golf course right across the street which we played many times. You could walk to the village for bite to eat or ice cream. If you just wanted to relax, you could pull up a chair by the river. We enjoyed out stay tremendously. We will definitely be back.

Fisherman's Retreat

This home sits on a beautiful spot along the Battenkill river and offers over 300 feet of river frontage. Accessing the river couldn't have been any easier! The water was low during our stay, and the trout weren't biting, but the weather was beautiful, the house comfortable, and our host, Brigitte, was just wonderful! We especially enjoyed the view from the primary bedroom overlooking the property and the river. The home is also very conveniently located for exploring southern Vermont, and Brigitte had so many ideas, options and suggestions of local activities and sights, as well as recommendations for restaurants and shopping.

Charming Vermont country house

We had a wonderful week in Southern Vermont. Brigitte's house had plenty of space for our family of 4 and our dog. The yard on the Battenkill river was amazing, we used the 2 kayaks all week. And even when the weather was not optimal, we stayed on the nice covered porch. Brigite was very easy to work with. Would definitely return.

When nature comes to you.

Charming home on Battenkill

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming home. As an old home, it had a lot of character. The art and decor complemented the home's quaintness. The home was well-equipped and it was clear that Brigitte is a traveler herself as she provided many thoughtful tips and hints for guests. The weather was uncharacteristically warm, which made the first floor a bit uncomfortable, but the MBR was fine with the AC. The outdoor space was lovely, including the porch that overlooked the Battenkill. It truly is in the backyard, and our dog Molly learned how to swim, which was fun. Fishing was challenging but good in the early hours of the day before it became too warm.

Nestled on the Battenkill River

Bridgette was a wonderful host, the house was very spacious for our family, very beautiful lush outside overlooking the BattenKill River, very private setting. We had a wonderful time and I would rent again. Just a few things i would like to share, in summer its hot, it maybe helpful to have extra fans downstairs, the downstairs was hot, but we bought fans and it cooled it off nicely, also it would be helpful in the bathrooms to have toilet cleaner, for toilets, and some exta toiletries, toilet paper, shampoo ext. but those were very minor things, Thank you Bridgette we had a wonderful time

Beautiful home!

My husband and I stayed here and had a lovely time. The house is both comfortable and gorgeous: it's an old cottage restored to retain its character while providing every modern convenience. It has a fully, (and I mean fully,) equipped kitchen, beautiful views of the river from nearly every room, and available equipment for river sports and exploring the area. The owner of this house was friendly, courteous, and willing to accommodate our questions and requests. The air conditioners, while available, were not installed at our arrival, but our weather cooperated and we didn't need them. The best part of this house is that it has no neighbors on one side or behind it , and the only close neighbor cannot be seen from the inside or back of the house, making this vacation home perfect for couples and anyone who enjoys a fabulous view with privacy.
