You’ll know you are in a special place when you approach the Century-year-old stone walls that surround The Cooperage House—a lakefront luxury vacation rental cabin in Haliburton, Ontario.
Located on Eagle Lake on the site of a former cooperage that crafted wine oak barrels, our cabin combines luxury architecture and design with the careful conservation of Haliburton history.
Past The Cooperage House, sunlight filters through the trees and shines on beautiful Eagle Lake. We have 700 feet of southern-exposure lake frontage here, including a gently sloping sandy-silt beach that’s just right for small children.
We provide Canoes, kayaks and Stand Up Paddle Boards so you can glide across the lake’s calm waters anytime you want!
Take a stroll around The Cooperage House property and discover relics like the walls of the cooperage’s boiler room and metal artifacts we found nearby. A hot pond on the property once thawed frozen timber to prepare it for barrel-making.
On the walk-out lower level, the 2nd master – called the “Safari Suite” – makes a statement with bold prints and decor.
A 3rd bedroom, the “Lakeside Room” has two Queen beds to sleep 4 guests total.
The upstairs master “Cabin Cozy Suite” is a space fit for a luxury log cabin, with a Queen bed and an attached Jack-and-Jill bath.
Next to it, “The Loft Room” is a family-friendly wonderland, with a Queen bed and a full-over-queen bunk bed.
These log cabin beds may seem rustic, but they’re outfitted in soft, decadent duvets and pillows, with carefully chosen concept art on the walls. Both “The Loft” and the “Cabin Cozy Room” share the Jack-and-Jill bath.
