We agree with you, It is a great home and has some wonderful amenities, so we are happy you enjoyed your vacation! Regarding the seating for five in the living room, the home is an 'open floorplan' concept and does have a sofa and two chairs in the living room as well as four barstools right there at the bar area and, additional seating for six in the dining area. The open feeling will allow for everyone to feel as if they are in the same room. We are glad that you did enjoy the home and location. We actually were able to repair the elevator in time for your stay, so we were pleased about that. We didn't hear differently from you, so I do believe that was in working order! Hot tub did need a new part - that happens now and then and we apologize for that. We have since replaced the part. It's so difficult to know when something with mechanics might break down. Wish it were different but rental homes do get a lot of use with the different groups. Just never know when or why things happen. We are so sorry as it did require new parts to get it up and running. Wifi doesn't usually have any issues so we are glad we were able to get it running efficiently. Thank you for letting us know. We will always do our best to accommodate and rectify a situation. The owners did replace the sofa recently and tried to get a nice floor plan design with seating for the living area. Hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay with us at Dolphin View. We hope you had a great time! All of our fees are broken down so a guest can see the costs separately. We do realize some companies choose to put it in a lump sum, but we like to show all costs involved, so you know. Pet fees will always be extra. Some homes do not allow a dog - but, if they do, there will always be a required pet fee. That is a standard policy. We are glad we were able to offer you a very early check in on that Thursday ~ If we can, we will! We also try to make it a very quick check in. There is some check in paperwork but only requires a few signatures and done as quick as possible with the intentions of getting you on your way! Check out usually has to do with whether or not cleaners are scheduled because of a possible check in the day you are checking out. Always call and ask and we can let you know! We are so glad you thought the home was beautiful! The items you found are very strange and we are so sorry that you feel this was the cleaning staff. We have a very thorough inspection process. There were 3-4 cleaners there before you checked in and they vacuumed and mopped all floors and then the inspector came and checked all drawers and floors and counted all toilet paper rolls in each bathroom, so this would mean that 5 different people walked by both of these items and did not see them or throw them away. Something like this has never happened with our cleaners or inspectors. You called us 3 days after checking in to let us know these items and you said you were going to check with the rest of the group to make sure it wasn't theirs. We are taking this very seriously and have talked to everyone involved in the cleaning of that home that week. We hope you visit Isle of Palms again in the future!
