Loved this house -- cool midcentury design with very cool accessories (I'm going to buy a couple of the design books they had on the shelf!). A lot of different spaces that can be used a lot of different ways. Comfy mattresses, kitted-out kitchen & laundry room. Fun outdoor sculpture garden in back, too.

It is a lovely avant garde home! The decor was beautiful. It had a lot of seating areas to lounge, kick back or play games. The water pressure was everything and it had a well stocked kitchen. The neighborhood was very serene as well. I would highly recommend it.

Family vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our annual family vacation, first time in Santa Fe, it was a great time. The home was as advertised. We did choose the property because we brought our dog. However, anytime we would set her bowl of dry food down, it would attract ants. It was very challenging to feed her. Possibly, since the house is pet friendly and has cement floors, a raised tray of some type would be helpful; so that we could leave food out for a short time.

Vicki, Thank you so much for your kind words! We are delighted to hear that you found the location idea for your annual family vaction! We appreciate you making us aware that your dog's kibble was attracting ants; it's been so hot and dry in the area I'm sure pests are eager for any food they can get! Thanks to your feedback we have another pest control visit scheduled to treat ants specifically so that future guests are not disturbed going forward. Next time you have any kind of issues while staying at the property please reach out directly - we would love to help resolve it during your stay! Your feedback is invaluable to us and we are honored to call you our guests. We look forward to the opportunity to host you in the future for a perfect stay! Kind regards, -Holly

Great spot for a getaway!

We loved our stay - the property was very well located in Santa Fe, close to the Plaza and walking distance to Clafoutis (can't miss), a yoga studio, and other local faves. The bedrooms were a good size, with comfortable bedding. Lots of room for each of us in our party to spread out and take work calls privately as needed. I'd definitely stay here again.

Cute Retro Property

We enjoyed our stay at the oasis. The beds were comfortable, it was well stocked, and the yard was great. Some of the pots and pans were dirty and had food residue, but otherwise everything was great. The communication with the host was top notch, quick to respond and the check in/check out process was seamless. As another reviewer mentioned, it’s across the street from a funeral home. No problem for me or most others in my party, but some people may be weirded out by that.

Pretty much as advertised

My wife was horrified that there was a funeral home across the street (Our friends at dinner sort of agreed with her) it really didn't bother me. Backyard was relaxing. My wife is artistic so she enjoyed some of the whimsical associated with this place--me, not so much. Not impressed with bathroom/shower area. It was however very quiet which we appreciated(especially across the street--I told my wife that folks were dying to get into that place!! More than adequate

Great place for the whole family (inlcuding our 4 legged members)

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: OMG the beds were so comfortable. So much so that my wife took a picture of the padded topper that seemed to make all the difference. Beyond that, the fenced back yard was great for our dogs, along with the two parks very close by and withing walking distance. Everything seemed to be within a 5-10 minute drive. Consignment stores on Cerrillos, the Plaza, hikes on the east side. It was a very quiet and safe feeling neighborhood for morning walks. The kids loved the bumper pool, too. Plenty of room for us to spread out as well. Loved that as soon as we opened the door, I got a text from the property manager that gave me the wi-fi info and contact info of the PM. Cool Tech!

428 Alta Vista Home Review

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental experience itself was smooth and easy - communication and instructions were clear and helpful. I would say that I don’t think the quality of the home warranted the nightly price of the rental. The pictures and then the reality were very different. On the good side, the home was clean, linens and towels good quality, kitchen well equipped and nice sized backyard. Downside - the home is much older and while they’ve decorated it nicely, it’s dark inside, low ceilings and much smaller than pictures would have you believe. Furthermore, driving up to the house had us very worried at first because there is no curb appeal. In fact, the condition of the small front yard had us thinking the home had been “neglected”.

We do our best to represent each property accurately through photos and descriptions, but we understand that perception can vary and will revisit the listing to see if adjustments are needed to better set expectations. Your comments about the front yard condition have been noted. We truly value your feedback as it helps us improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future.

Family vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a perfect spot for our family. It was a short drive from the center of town but a good trade off for having a little room to spread out. It was clean and comfortable and in a good neighborhood. The management was needed for one tiny issue that was easily and promptly addressed and fixed. It was about a battery issue with the door lock but there was a back up key. I am mentioning the issue so you would know it was no big deal and someone answered the call immediately. I would definitely recommend this property to others. It is properly stocked and even has extras. It had everything kitchen wise and cleaning wise and we were super excited to find an ice chest for our outings. Thank you for providing our family with a comfortable safe place to stay during our vacation.

Great Stay in Santa Fe!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My partner and I decided at the last minute to book a trip to Santa Fe for a long holiday weekend. I am so glad I stayed at this charming mid-century house in Santa Fe. It exceeded all expectations. The interior of the house is a true homage to mid-century design, with stylish furnishings and thoughtful touches that transport you to a bygone era. What truly sets this place apart is the thoughtful stocking of amenities. It was evident that the hosts went above and beyond to ensure guests had everything they could possibly need and more. The kitchen was well-equipped, making meal preparation a breeze, and the living spaces were adorned with warm lighting and smart devices. The house is conveniently situated to major roads, grocery stores, and the main sights of Santa Fe, and served as perfect home base for our adventures.I can't recommend this mid-century retreat enough for anyone looking to escape to Santa Fe. It's a true gem that combines the best of design, comfort, and location. My long holiday weekend felt like a journey back in time, and I'm already looking forward to the next opportunity to stay in this home.
