The condo was great, with an absolutely incredible view and balcony. The location was also very good as it is in a quiet area away from the noise of Kihei, but still central to most everything.

We really enjoyed our stay. What a wonderful location, close to Costco, Maui Tropical Plantation (fresh local produce) and Maui Farmer's Market. Short walk to the marina where we took a dinner cruise with PacWhale. The view is incredible, million dollar view. We watched so many turtles and even saw two manta rays from the balcony. At night the mountain lights up and sparkles. On clear days you can see the observatory. We saw the milky way every night and shooting stars. The grassy lawn in front of the condo is very pretty. Management was great and very responsive. My only issues were the beach is not a one minute walk. You need to walk down the sidewalk and then access the beach but the beach is beautiful and long. During the week we often had it to ourselves. The other thing to keep in mind is the laundy room is shared and it's 2.50 per load to wash and 2.50 to dry. Not a big deal but I didn't find it clear in the listing. Overall a wonderful stay.

This was a great property with amazing views. The management company was very responsive and over all our stay was great. The property has everything you need and it is centrally located to everything. A note- the upstairs is private-ish but just be mindful you’re mostly on display if that is something you care about

Maui Family Getaway!

Beautiful view, great location, clean accommodation and good communication throughout the stay. The travel crib and high chair for our toddler were much appreciated!

I rented a property on the top floor of a condominium complex, Maalaea Kai, in Maui. My experience was as bad as any I have had in my over 50 years of travelling. When I arrived at 10:30pm Hawaii time (1:30am Los Angeles time), I followed the instructions I had been given to access the unit, punching in a four number door code, which didn't work numerous times. The instructions then said to try entering a different code for the upper deadbolt lock. But the deadbolt lock had no way to enter any code (it was in an enclosed metal box). So I called the property management company and got a recording saying to press 9 for after hours emergencies, which I did. The call hung up on me numerous times before I thought I would have to sleep in my rental car, which was incredibly upsetting. I only got in because I had gotten the private cell phone number of one of the company employees earlier in the week. [I was told upon entry that I had needed to hit a lock icon before entering the door code, which was nowhere on the instructions.] When I entered the property, which had worn old carpets, the television was on, but not the A/C (which incidentally had a 6 hour limit), and it was well over 80 degrees inside. When I finally got to bed (at 3am LA time), I found a dirty top sheet which was disgusting. After multiple complaints to the company, I received credit for one night's stay, but that will never compensate me for my awful experience.

This unit is in a great location and the grounds are kept up impeccably, however, the actual unit is in need of some major loving. The kitchen is outdated, rugs are in need of replacement, shower head in upstairs bath faces the wrong direction and we were afraid to adjust it for fear we’d break it, toilet intermittently ran in the middle of the night, first use, towel bar downstairs fell off. We didn’t spend much time in the unit, perhaps we would have had it been nicer. But will repeat, great location however, the unit needs some work.

This property is located in the valley section of Maui between the two mountains. It is walking distance from the aquarium and the harbor where many of the boat excursions depart from. Other than that, it is not a very convenient location in our opinion.As for the rental unit itself, you are not allowed to regulate the heating or air conditioning. There are timers on the wall that you turn to represent the number of hours you want the air conditioning to operate (see pictures). You can’t set or adjust the actual temperature you want. And when the timer has run out of time, you have to get up and go turn the knob to add more hours. And because much of the exposed windows that look out onto the bay are without window coverings (see pictures) – it will get nice and toasty in the summer months.The shower on the 2nd floor is actually smaller than a phone booth (I checked – see pictures).The A/C unit is on the small patio and blows warm air on you when running if you are sitting outside (see picture)Finely, this unit was infested with insects (see pictures) including the beds we slept in.When we were booking this trip several months ago, the price seemed reasonable. However, because of the location and the conditions described we would not rebook this property.

Let’s start by saying the view is unsurpassed, ocean as far as your eye can see. There are also sea turtles that come up to the rocks along the shore every night. Assigned parking was great. The unit was clean and management was very responsive. We did have major issues with the WiFi, none at all on day 1, intermittent day 2 and 3. They came to look at it and called the service provider. Apparently they had had issues with the last four guests. That should have been mentioned or we should have been offered a different unit. That affected our trip considerably. Although the unit was clean, it is really in need of a refresh, as it’s really outdated. The upstairs bedroom is really odd, they added a bathroom, shower blocks part of the window, sink is in the room. I would say for kids only, as there is no privacy.
