This was our 2nd time to stay at this home The host was responsive and checked on us mid-week. We had everything we needed. The property is better than the pictures, I believe. The lot is nice with a slope. The double decker dock is great for sunsets and a nicer view. The firepit was nice to use and there was firewood available. We cooked steaks on the charcoal grill. Stores are nearby for everything needed. We only ate out once at Fork Grove Barbeque. Recommend! Paddleboarding in the peaceful cove was nice. Our dog was happy here. We had a good relaxing week.

We have stayed at this property multiple times and plan to come back again! We love the layout of the rooms, the ability to have two living spaces, and the multiple porches. Our dog loves to run down the dock, jump in, then swim to the boat ramp and walk in! Being able to rent the boat, for a very reasonable price, is the icing on the cake! This trip we also rented jet skis from Landshark Watersports and had an absolute blast with those (highly recommend). Jon is always easy to work with, responsive, and wants to be helpful.

This is a great property for a multi-generational get together. We were there for Clemson graduation. The house has great areas for getting together in group fashion. The house is semi-rustic but very comfortable. If we ever have to be in the area again, I will not hesitate to rent it.

My husband and I stayed here with our daughter, son-in-law, two grandkids, and their dog, and we had a wonderful time. The house was great with plenty of space for everyone. It was so convenient having the boat right there available to rent, and we enjoyed fishing off the dock. The yard gave the kids and dog lots of room to run around and play, and we appreciated having games available for a rainy day. Jon’s communication was excellent throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Cozy lake house with a beautiful lakefront and view! We stayed here over the long Christmas weekend with our dogs for close proximity to Seneca family. The house was clean, roomy, and comfortable, equipped with everything we could need.

Had a great trip Lake Hartwell while staying here!

House was great, had everything you need and owner was very easy to deal with. Very nice home and a great view of the creek.

Great getaway

Quiet area, great lake view. Easy access to dock. Only used first level. Plenty of room downstairs for larger groups. Recommend for anyone seeking time away at lake. Great communication from owner.

Great property for families!

This house had the perfect layout for families with kids. Kids took over the basement and had plenty of room to spread out. The double decker dock was a big hit. Owner was super-responsive and helpful. Dog friendly and fun neighbors. We had a fantastic stay.

Wonderful time on the lake.

We have been coming to Hartwell for 13 years. This was our favorite location. Having the boat on site was a bonus for us. The house was perfect and very homey. Jon is a great host. Definitely recommend. We will be back!

Great Lake Hartwell Location

Very happy with our long weekend stay at this property. The location is perfect on a quiet cove with great dock and deep water. The house had everything we needed, was very comfortable, and is close to grocery stores and restaurants. Very easy to find. Jon was one of the best VRBO hosts I have encountered - super communicative, very helpful, and wanting to make sure we enjoyed the best stay that we could. Highly recommend, particularly for families.

Jon was extremely welcoming the Lake house was so beautiful and more than we had imagined, The pictures of the Lake house online were nice but in person it was a piece of heaven. My family and I were so so pleased with the layout. The owner checked on us via text to make sure we were ok wished us a happy Thanksgiving which gave us a since of home. The peace out there was what we needed and we were thankful. We will book again; we were treated like family. The house had everything we needed it was fully equipped. Lake get away

This place was the perfect place to kick back and relax! The house was nice with so many little extras like the porches that over looked the lake, the chimney on the porch where you could have a fire, and the screened in porch downstairs. We loved the double dock and we caught lots of fish! We canoed and the teenagers loved the body board. We played cornhole and grilled out! We loved it and will stay again!

home away from home

my family have stayed at Mr. McKnight's property for 6 years now. Labor Day is our holiday of choice. Mr. Jon has been more than accommodating to us. The minute we get there we are ready to relax and enjoy the lake and all it has to offer.
