This was our favorite VRBO we've rented so far. The view from our spacious bedroom was a stunning of the valley and lake below, while from the living room was a heart-warming view of two beautiful friendly horses. The hosts went above and beyond our expectations with their attention to detail to make our stay pleasant.

The property is clean and cozy and just as advertised! The host left a beautiful loaf of bread and fresh cut flowers in the sitting area and bedroom - a very special touch! We didn’t do any cooking, but the kitchen seemed well appointed if you wanted to do meals in. If you suffer from allergies, bring tissues, as there were none available but the bathroom was stocked with toilet paper and hand soap and the shower had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The views are beautiful but there isn’t much in the immediate area so come prepared with what you’ll need and a full tank of gas in your car! 20 minutes to downtown Skaneateles where there’s plenty of good restaurants, coffee shops, and retail shopping. We loved our stay and will come back!

We had a family wedding in Skaneateles, and this cottage was perfect. It was nicely decorated, fresh flowers in the living room and bedroom. The cottage was spacious, comfortable and immaculate. The host, Ellen, went above and beyond to accommodate us as an unforeseen family situation arose and we needed to change our check in date. I highly recommend this property!!! It is a gem!!!

Our hosts did everything to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable! We appreciated all the little "extras" they did for us. They thought of everything - freshly made bread, jams, coffee and condiments like creamer! They even had chocolates for our sweet tooth! The place was clean, well decorated and completely stocked. The hosts were respectful of our privacy yet available if we needed anything. But the best part was the view - we loved watching the horses graze and the lake view was beautiful!

A lovely little cottage 15 minutes from town and in a wonderful secluded location. Everything you need is included in the cabin and the surprise focaccia bread was the best I’ve ever had. Be sure to visit the Patisserie in town to get more.

Very nice one-night stay
We wanted to visit Skaneateles and then stay overnight. Ellen was great about giving us information for our visit and information to access the cottage. The cottage was comfortable and peaceful and just a short ride from the town of Skaneateles. The bed was super comfy. Enjoyed our brief stay.

My husband and I stayed at the cottage during a brief trip back to the area where we met 10 years ago. The cottage was beautifully decorated and well stocked for our needs. Our stay was quiet and relaxing in this peaceful setting. The host’s extra touches, like fresh flowers and bread from a local bakery made our stay even more special. We loved our time there, and would definitely go back again!

This is property is the perfect quiet little getaway. Country area with beautiful views of the lake, the woods, the farms. Out in the middle of nowhere, (which is exactly what we were looking for) but 30 minutes or less from just about anything you can imagine, Lakes, wineries, breweries, Syracuse,etc. Will definitely be visiting again!

Exceptional stay at this cottage with a beautiful view of the valley & Otisco Lake. It was perfect for a couple or a small family.We got to experience peace & quiet, which is missing from our daily life, since we reside in a extremely populated city. It was a short drive to the town of Skaneateles where there are many great restaurants and cute shops to visit. The communication with the host was excellent and check-in process was easy. Will definitely stay here again when in the Finger Lakes area.

Peaceful Weekend Getaway
The stay was magnificent. The property was well kept and decorated with a great view. Ellen and her husband were great hosts. They were responsive, sweet, and helpful. I recommended this property to any future visitors looking to stay near Skaneateles Lake!

This property met all our needs … close to town and less than an hour ride to Syracuse University. We enjoyed hiking at Treman State Park. Also, boat ride and eateries in Skaneateles lake area. We were welcomed in cottage with a personal note , flowers and fresh bread.

We had an amazing time. It was my friend’s first time doing this and this place did not disappoint. The pictures do not do it any justice. I highly recommend. The hosts are wonderful and very accommodating.
