Great place! Location is perfect for overlooking the lake. The covered deck is a very relaxing place for early morning or late afternoon. We rented a boat from Duskin Point Marina and was a very short drive. Will definitely look for this place again

Our family enjoyed our stay and plan to be back next year. The home was very clean and on the perfect flat lot on the water. The kids especially loved the bunk beds. The host was extremely helpful and quick to respond.

Great place to stay. I really liked reading on the dock. The desk in the bedroom was a quiet place to work. The front yard has a beach and is very sunny.

The cottage was beautiful and very well maintained. The location on the lake was perfect for what we wanted, fishing, swimming and taking in the beautiful views.

I don't want to share how much we loved this property. If word gets out how perfect it is, we may never be able to reserve it again! In all seriousness, our group had a fabulous time. The property is beautiful, the home is lovely and well stocked, it's incredibly kid-friendly, and the beds were comfortable. A all around. Thanks to the hosts for a wonderful stay.

Great stay. I really enjoy the house it was absolutely beautiful. The view was amazing. I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the outside more. The spot was prefect for peace and quite.

House was clean and well equipped in the kitchen. Very clean land comfortable linens. We spent a lot of time on the covered deck. The view is amazing and walk down to the lake was beautiful. Windows in the living room and dining room give a panoramic view of the lake while inside cooking or relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

We had the best time at Lotawata Cottage! The description and pictures do not do this place justice! Clean, cozy, and the most incredible views! This home and property has everything we needed and more for a long weekend at the lake! The owner went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay despite have a little bit of bad weather. The water level was down because of the Fall season but we expected that and honestly loved that our kids could walk out on the sandy beach around the property! We had the best time fishing off the dock, enjoying the beach area, and hanging out on the porches! When I booked this house we had never been to Smith Lake before and I’m so glad I took a chance on a new vacation spot! We can’t wait to come back!!

This lake house was great! Very clean and the pictures don't do it justice. The house is kid friendly and every detail is thought of. The lot the house sits on is flat and getting to the water/dock is easy compared to majority of the other houses on Smith lake. Would strongly recommend this property!

Our stay was perfect! The cottage is adorable and the location is great - right next to Duskin Point Marina. The house is situated on a flat point with beautiful views of the water. When we were not on the water, we spent all of our time on a newly built outdoor covered pavilion. Highly recommend - we will be back!

Absolutely beautiful and a great vacation spot for our family. We had lots of room, the kitchen was fully stocked, the yard was great for the kids, the water was perfect for swimming. We loved the big deck off of the kitchen for family time. We definitely made wonderful memories with our grandkids and they are already asking to return. The house was perfect. My grandkids loved the little beach area in front of the house. Also the kids loved jumping off the dock into the lake. Everything about this house was perfect. They even had toys and books for my grandkids to play with. The kitchen was fully stocked. We will be going back it’s our new family tradition. The fishing was great also.

Comfortable home with a wonderful view and an amazing yard!

What a comfortable home! What a marvelous yard! It is so accessible for picnicking, wading in the lake, playing by the lake! We even tried our luck fishing from the dock. The view is amazing and we enjoyed watching the lake in the few periods of rain from the porch, the patio, living room and dining room. The house is well equipped, the beds are comfortable. We will be coming again soon!

Rare Find for Smith Lake

This cottage met all expectations for a family getaway to the lake. The secluded & expansive yard was truly an amazing find in that it's level out to the water where you can wade in easily. The porch looks over the yard so everyone could run & play without worry. The dock offered an easy tie up for our boat & we could fish off the side for fun. A public boat launch is only a 5-min ride from the house (near the dam). The views from inside are beautiful over the lake. Rooms were cozy & everything was very user friendly. We will come back for a longer stay when the water is warmer!

Fantastic house for families with kid toddlers and kids!

My wife and I had a wonderful quick trip with our two and a half year old busy toddler. The host had plenty of items needed for a toddler (booster seat, toddler potty, non-and breakable kids plate ware). The locks on the doors were also high enough to not have to worry about the little guy escaping. The property was amazing as the house is at the tip of the peninsula with almost 360 lake views! The water was too cold for us get in, but we could have waded out with ease. The front porch had a nice breeze and yard plenty of shade that would be great in summer. We will be back!
