The cabin is very well-appointed and cozy with charming decor! The hosts are accessible for any questions. Nice little backyard with a garden view. I’d definitely recommend this cabin!

We were in town for a wedding and enjoyed our stay at this cabin! The beautiful setting and the decorations and feel of the the place was inviting and homey. The property owners are great hosts and were very responsive to questions before our trip. We also loved the screened in back porch!

Cozy cabin

Our family of 5 enjoyed a week in this adorable, well-located cabin. The owner has decorated with vintage style wallpapers and a curated collection of paintings, some she has produced herself! We loved our stay.

Very cozy cottage. We enjoyed everything about our stay. We loved the fireplace! We had a fire going all day and night! The grounds were very pretty. We did see deer, but no bears! Would definitely stay there again.

This is a beautiful cabin located close to downtown Highlands. It is just as welcoming inside as it is outside. We were in awe the moment we pulled into the driveway. The accommodations were so comfortable and we felt like we were “home.” The hosts were easy to communicate with and we certainly plan to book this again!

The host was very supportive and welcoming. They helped us from the get go and made our stay wonderful. The home itself is so very charming. Attention to detail is evident everywhere u look! A luxurious log cabin in a charming town in the beautiful NC mountains…what could be better?

Charming mountain getaway

Overall we were so happy with our at your cottage. It was so charming and quaint! The beds were so comfy and the house had everything we needed as a family if 5! The gardens were beautiful and the weather was lovely! Definitely will return ❤️

What an amazing rental! The pictures do not do it justice. So cozy and quaint. The location was great, owners were so sweet and communicative, the house had all the amenities we needed. We can’t wait to go back!

Scout’s Retreat is the mountain home you’ve dreamed of! Charming and warm with attention to anything a visitor needs to feel welcome. The decor is exceptional with mountain motifs, but tastefully updated. The hosts had a bottle of wine and a big basket of snacks waiting on us. We were invited to take advantage of anything we saw. We plan to rebook next year!

The cabin was very clean and smartly appointed with everything you'll need to enjoy meals in-house. There was plenty of firewood, games and puzzles to have a fun cozy evening. While Mountain Fresh Grocery has an extensive wine selection, their groceries are limited and very expensive. Shop at Bryson's Food Store for a full service grocery store. Dry Falls are a must to visit and an easy walk. Whiteside Mountain Trail is a great 2 mile hike with tremendous views...take some snacks and enjoy the view. We would highly recommend this cabin!

Fabulous stay during artic blizzard

We stayed at Scouts Retreat during the artic blizzard! The hosts were very, very accommodating. They stocked the firewood and decorated the house for Christmas which was such a nice touch. The power stayed on, fireplace roaring and a good time was had by all. The kitchen is very well appointed and the whole house worked fabulously with our adult group. We did hike despite the ice and hit a few restaurants in Highlands which was only 1 mile away (one closed because of no water). We hope to return soon with or without the artic blast.

The property was perfect. It is a beautiful and comfortable cabin, nicely furnished and cozy. It is idyllic! The cabin is very convenient to Highlands and an easy drive to Cashiers. I had the most wonderful stay and felt at peace.

Perfect for us!

I travel to Highlands/Cashiers area yearly in June & have rented several places looking for just the right place. This is it! This home is warm & inviting, decorated with antiques, nice lamps, good art, & comfortable beds. The kitchen is well-appointed with all the right equipment to cook a meal. And by the way, all is very clean! The owner was very quick to respond when I reached out & was very helpful! Downtown Highlands is about a mile away. This turned out to be great for us as we tend to go into town everyday. I can’t wait to stay again!

Dream House

This cabin was fabulous. Beautifully appointed furnishings and art which made for such a cozy and inspiring environment, not to mention very convenient to downtown. My family would love to return!
