The property was as stated and I very much appreciated the initial communication with the host, who let us stop by a little early to put away some groceries. However, when I communicated a little later because we couldn't locate the wifi network to sign on, there was no reply. I had also let them know about some ants in the kitchen and also did not receive a reply. The property was nice, close to walkable areas as noted and the extra mattresses in the closet allowed for space for my party of 10. However, a little more communication about a couple of essential things would have made this a 5 star rating.

Communicating with the host was great. Very responsive. The location of the house was perfect. Walking distance to great restaurants, grocery stores, good coffee shops, etc. Easy check and check out process. Nice, clean house. We would stay here again.

Exactly as described. Great neighborhood and well-equipped kitchen. Easy to get to. Great shower heat and pressure!! Parking in the driveway was easy and ensured we always had a spot. The host had great communication. We would absolutely stay here again.

Wonderful place to stay. There was an ant problem, which we are finding to be typical in each place we've stayed in California. Otherwise, this was a very clean and accommodating place to stay, close to the pier and family attractions.

While it may have been stylish, it wasn't comfortable and there were many issues. Piles of mail in the mailbox. Smoke alarm hanging from ceiling in primary bedroom when we arrived and began chirping. Towels, pillows and sheets stained. Some towels were the kind you see in garages or hospitals. Hair in both showers. No way to close window in primary bathroom while showering. No extension cords - had to move furniture in bedroom to plug in phone. RAT TRAP literally next to outdoor seating area which had ripped covers with the cushions coming out and a dirty rug under the furniture. Seats for 4, no outdoor dining area, yard was literally dirt with zero landscaping or decoration. Living room pretty but very uncomfortable for hanging out. When told there were ANT infestations in kitchen & bathrooms, host stated that was a "California problem" and to be expected. When told there was no soap for either shower, he told me I was wrong. He then tried to solve both problems by door-dashing me body wash and RAID at 930 at night, around same time the handyman showed up to fix the chirping smoke alarm. House advertised as "Minutes to Venice Beach" but no beach towels or coolers. Host said that would be beyond his duty to supply because house isn't near beach, even tho advertised as near it...I tried to explain that this wasn't up to standards or as advertised and Host just defended condition of house. This was an expensive and very disappointing mistake.

During your stay, the items brought to our attention were handled promptly — including dispatching a handyman the same evening for the smoke detector and sending additional supplies right away. For clarity for future guests, the home is professionally cleaned before each stay, fully stocked with toiletries, and all windows and major features are functional. Some of the statements in this review do not accurately reflect the condition of the home or the amenities provided. A few items mentioned — such as outdoor layout preferences, extension cords, and beach equipment — are not advertised features of the property, though we understand every guest has different expectations. We also wish more of these concerns had been communicated during the stay, as we are always responsive and happy to resolve anything in real time. Since this visit, we’ve made additional updates to the outdoor seating and overall presentation to further enhance the guest experience.
