This property is well-appointed in an upscale neighborhood with convenient access to the bike trail. The beds were very comfortable! The host provided a lot of little extras in the house as welcome items - very thoughtful. I gave it 4 stars primarily because I feel the advertising was misleading. This "private" guest house is immediately adjacent to the main house where the hosts live. You share a driveway and look out the window to their house. In addition, we had people camping on the other side of the guest house during our stay. Lastly, my shower had hair in it that wasn't mine. Most importantly to me was the fact that although this VRBO is "on the Bigwood River", you can neither see nor hear the river from the guest house. The distance to the main channel is over 450 feet away. When the river runs high in the spring, I am sure this changes. For most of the year, however, the property is riverfront, the guest house is not. The river is walkable through the natural area, following game trails, but there is no place to sit and enjoy the river on this property. I had planned on relaxing on the patio, meditating, etc. while listening to the river. If someone else had explained that the small patios can neither see nor hear the river, I would have selected another rental. There are others available that actually do have river and/or creek frontage with beautiful patios where you can enjoy the water while dining, visiting, etc.
