This cottage was ideal! Spectacular views of Red Hook, St. John, and more. The room was perfect, and the cottage was spacious. Maxine and Chris were the perfect hosts. They gave great beach advice and were always accommodating. We cannot say enough good things about our stay!

We've been to STT fives times and this is our second time staying with Chris and Max and we will continue to book with them each time we visit STT going forward! We've stayed in both rentals they offer and both are great options. They are also in a great location with a short drive to the beautiful beaches compared to the other locations we've stayed. It's also a plus that the car ferry is right there since we like to spend at least one day on St John. We always get quick responses anytime we have questions. I highly recommend Chris and Max!

The house was in a perfect location, close to all of the restaurants and bars of Red Hook. The views from the balcony were spectacular! Maxine is very sweet and helpful, we had a wonderful experience

Chris and Maxine, We just wanted to take a moment to thank you both for being such gracious hosts during our stay at your lovely cottage. It truly had everything we needed, and the location was so convenient to the beaches, restaurants, and ferry.We especially miss those beautiful sunrises we enjoyed with our coffee on the porch. Great location

Easy access to all the Redhook restaurants and the Ferries. Owners were very helpful with questions about the area. It's high up on the hill so there are great views.

Beautiful St. Thomas Cottage with a Wonderful View

The place is centrally located in red hook with an amazing view. My wife and I had a wonderful time. Maxine was a gracious host.

Lion’s Gate Cottage Review

It’s a nice little cottage with wonderful balcony and spectacular view. Maxine was delightful, helpful & responsive. We really enjoyed our stay and the proximity to dining and shopping establishments, and the ferry terminal.

First time to St Thomas

The views are beautiful! The cottage is perfect for two. Maxine is a great host and easy to communicate with. The location is easy access to the entire island.

Wonderful stay overlooking Red Hook.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the cottage, the views are incredible, the sun rise over St John is beautiful. Fun restuarants nearby. The drive up to the cottage adds to its charm. Maxine and Chris are wonderful hosts. thank you for a wonderful week.

Fantastic Trip

The cottage is fantastic!! Everything is clean and well appointed. Overlooking the harbor with coffee in the morning was relaxing and exactly what we where looking for. Maxine and Chris are great hosts!! Highly recommended!

Amazing house, amazing view, amazing host!

We truly enjoyed our stay here while on the island for 7 days. Maxine did everything to ensure we were taken care of and went above and beyond. A beautiful house on a beautiful location, couldn’t have asked for more! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great place to call home on vacation.

Wonderful!

We booked this property when we had to make last minute travel plans and it was everything it advertised! Beautiful view and perfect for a couple. We loved having a full kitchen and the beautiful deck. We did rent a car and unless you’re looking for some serious cardio up that hill I’d recommend it. We loved our stay!

Loved the views. It was right on the harbor so was noisy early mornings. The driveyway was steep but we were warned about this. Parking was limited but also warned. Hostess had everything we needed for the beach which was a great surprise!

12 year anniversary

Our stay was more than we could have imagined. The view was absolutely beautiful...We woke up every morning at 6am just to see the sunrise! Butterflys, hummingbirds, flowers...they were everywhere! Maxine and Chris are wonderful people! Thanks for sharing your part of the world with us!

Paradise

My partner and I took a vacation to the Virgin Islands for the first time in August. We chose to stay in Redhook because it was near many beaches, restaurants and shops. The cottage was a cozy and comfortable place and our view was astonishing! We couldn’t get enough of it, and the place was well kept and it offered many amenities that it made our stay extremely convenient. Thank you Maxine, Chris and louie for your hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to one day return to this amazing place 💗

Beautiful views and walkable to town!

My partner and I stayed for 15-days. We had a wonderful experience. Max & Chris made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We rented a car for the first week and didn't have a car the second. The cottage is close enough to town to walk down for dinner or for a grocery run. You can also walk to Sapphire beach or catch the ferry over to St. John for the day. Great rental for couples looking for a getaway or single travelers.

Awesome property made our vacation....

Everything was just as stated.... couldn’t have been better from our arrival to the day we had to leave. Max was the greatest.... met us and led us to the house gave us really great advice on restaurants and beaches nearby. house was the best part of our winter break from the cold. A perfect spot to watch the sun come up and enjoy an amazing view no matter what direction you looked. The perfect getaway at a perfect location lionsgate was the best......we will be back. Lionsgate Paradise

Perfection. Charming Caribbean cottage. High on a hill with unmatched views of the harbor and surrounding islands. Tradewinds that cool the warm temperatures. Cottage has many unique features including handcrafted furniture and mahogany woodwork. Hosts that are warm, welcoming and helpful. Treat it well. We will be back next year. Tom and Carolee, 2024

Beautiful views and great location

Wonderful stand alone cottage with great front porch to take in the views of Red Hook harbor and St John. Location is great for taking advantage of local beaches. It was 20 minutes to Magens bay which was our favorite, Cottage is close to the town of Red Hook which has the best selection of stores, restaurants and Happy Hours!! Hosts are on site and very responsive when we needed anything. Yet you have absolute privacy. They also gave us great tips for things to do. The road up to the cottage is steep and windy ( like many of the roads on St Thomas) so make sure you rent a car that can handle it. We had a Jeep.
