Luna Vista: Deluxe Home Between the Boulders met een prachtig uitzicht van 360 graden

Hoog boven het dorp Joshua Tree, op slechts een steenworp afstand van Joshua Tree National Park. Je zult betoverd worden door het steeds veranderende spel van zon en maan op het woestijnlandschap.

Voorzieningen zijn onder andere: Ruime grote kamer met open haard; Wifi; flatscreen-tv met Roku, Pandora en Netflix voor muziek en films op internet; Dvd-speler en verzameling dvd-klassiekers. Open de twaalf-voet raammuur en ervaar de bezienswaardigheden en geluiden van de woestijn vanuit de woonkamer. De grote keuken heeft prachtige granieten werkbladen, nieuwe roestvrijstalen apparaten, een inloopkast, alles wat je nodig hebt om je gastronomische maaltijden te bereiden, wasfaciliteiten en een gasbarbecue.

De hoofdslaapkamer, in vintage Mexicaanse inrichting, heeft een luxe queensize bed, plafondventilator en een glazen schuifdeur naar het grote overdekte terras. De master badkamer heeft een mooie Talavera betegelde ijdelheid, inloopdouche en bubbelbad om die vermoeide spieren te kalmeren na een dag wandelen. Kies de Cowgirl-kamer met zijn antieke inrichting, twee eenpersoonsbedden, plafondventilator of geniet van de oude westerse inrichting van de Cowboy-kamer, queensize bed, plafondventilator en glazen schuifdeur naar de patio. De gast badkamer heeft een volledige douche en bad. Alle handdoeken en beddengoed zijn aanwezig.

Luna Vista heeft centrale verwarming en airconditioning, maar de buitenruimtes trekken je naar buiten - probeer de cowboydouche of geniet in een cowboybad! Er is niets beters na een dag woestijnplezier! En terwijl u hier bent, vergeet dan niet om het meanderende natuurpad te ervaren dat u rond het terrein van 2,5 hectare leidt. Het kan je inspireren om door te gaan met wandelen recht in Joshua Tree National Park. Laat ons in ons dierenlogboek weten welke wezens je bent tegengekomen. The house is beautiful. The outdoor space is unparalleled. Little paths that take you to a hammock or a small table and chairs. Birds galore. A view to knock your socks off at sunrise. Proximity to the western entrance of Joshua Tree. Super clean and private. Would 100% recommend.

Paradise on Earth

As if Joshua Tree wasn’t spectacular enough, this home makes it even more memorable. This is my third stay here and I plan on many more. It’s ideal for smaller gatherings. The kitchen is well stocked, so cooking in is ideal. The only challenge is my regular car won’t make it up the dirt road to the house.

Perfect Desert Retreat

This was our second stay at Luna Vista and the property was just as spectacular as we recalled from our initial stay several years ago. The owners have put a great deal of thought into this beautiful home, with lots of decorative and practical touches ensure an enjoyable stay (comfortable beds and linens, well equipped kitchen and grill area, multiple indoor/outdoor sitting areas for socializing, equipment for star gazing and spotting wildlife, etc., etc.). Will definitely be returning in the future.

We watched the sun rise and set over the desert from this gorgeous property. It was a perfect place to recharge and reconnect with nature. The house was beautifully decorated and the kitchen was stocked with anything you could need. It was a dream stay.

Amazing home in Joshua Tree!

Luna Vista is just beautiful! You can see all the love and care that went into decorating this home. Every detail was perfect. It had all the comforts of home plus a scenic view to just relax and enjoy time with friends and family. There were also many activities and places to visit nearby. It was a perfect getaway!

A Magical Desert Oasis

It was such a treat to stay at Luna Vista. The property offers breathtaking views of Joshua Tree on top of a well designed, well detailed, and well loved home. The cowboy tub was a highlight of the house, as we watched many Joshua Tree sunsets and sunrises. The house itself was generously equipped with everything you would ever need and provided us a much needed respite from our busy city life.

Stunning property

This is a beautiful well kept home with great amenities. We enjoyed the fact that it was essentially on its own with beautiful views over the valley. Extremely comfortable, well equipped kitchen and lovely outdoor spaces. Thank you to Eric and Cindy for constant communication. As bird photographers we thoroughly enjoyed the close proximity to nature and the lovely trails through the property.

Wonderful!

Our family of four loved our time at Luna Vista. The property is beautiful and the proximity to Joshua Tree National Park is perfect. Cindy was kind enough to leave some bird seed and suet, and we spent hours watching the beautiful birds at the feeders. Luna Vista also has a wonderfully-equipped kitchen! We used the grill and ate at the outdoor table most nights. There is also a great outdoor shower. Highly recommend Luna Vista!

A Gorgeous Home in the High Desert

We had a wonderful stay at Luna Vista. The owners of this home have carefully crafted a beautiful home. The views atop the desert can’t be beat, the patio with multiple seating options draws you outside, and the home itself was very clean and comfortable for our family of 5. We ventured into Joshua Tree each day, which was only a short drive away. We also enjoyed some of the recommended restaurant spots. Thank you for sharing your peaceful home with us!

Looking forward to returning

This is a beautiful house, on a rise overlooking the town of Joshua Tree, the park entrance, and huge swaths of the Milky Way. The grounds have footpaths to explore, with a variety of scenic resting places. It's remote enough to enjoy some solitude (with a few distant voices, barks, and howls), yet convenient to town if you don't mind taking your time over the last mile of dirt road. The kitchen is well-outfitted, the house modern and clean... Thanks, Cindy; we'll likely be back.

Pristine Desert Retreat

Beautifully decorated and maintained desert home with great views. If you are a quiet the jack rabbits and quail will continue to wander through as if they don't mind your stopping by. Access to Joshua Tree National Park is a short drive away. We took one morning to go there for some rock climbing and some spectacular scenery. Cindy has thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. Be prepared to drive on dirt roads to access the property which is common in this area, and totally worth it. Planning to Return

Still the place to be

We came back and spent another Spring Break at Luna Vista (we were also here in 2015), and were not disappointed. You're still only a few minutes from the entrance station to Joshua Tree. House is very well stocked, Cindy is a lot of help, and we received our deposit refund within a week of staying there. There was nothing better than enjoying the ridiculously nice view in the morning outside with a cup of coffee and a book. Well, other than enjoying a sunset with a beer and a book outside... If you don't mind being off the beaten path, there is no better place to stay in the area. We will hopefully return soon.

Exceeded our expectations!

While this home looked beautiful in the photos - it was even more beautiful in person. The land surrounding the home is stunning, and there is your own private nature trail right in front of the home that leads to several small seating areas. The home was immaculate and had everything you could possibly wish for and more. The hosts go above and beyond what is expected in a VRBO home. All of the rooms were cozy and homey and I loved the collections that were scattered throughout the home. You can tell that the hosts truly love the Joshua Tree area, and they know how to create a space for their guests to enjoy. We will definitely rent this home again if we come back to Joshua Tree.

One word,,, "Heaven"

The pictures don't do this property justice. I didn't want to share how amazing this property is because i want to come back many times. I don't even know where to start,, from the views to the stargazing ( yes seeing jupiters moons through the telecsope and saturns rings), the perfectly stocked kitchen, outdoor shower, sliding doors that bring the outdoors inside,,, all of it just wonderful. We went to the farmers market and bought produce and Honey and flowers on a Saturday ,, the bakery "Boos organic oven" makes probably the best apple pie next to my mothers on earth,, they also had amazing vegan brownies for my family. Really just go experiance this property for yourselves,, it is the perfect quiet retreat to feed the birds and clear your mind,,, amazing ,, amazing amazing !!

Amazing!

We had 3 generations at this beautiful, adobe-style house on a bluff overlooking the desert preserve. The highlights of our stay--- staying up till it gets pitch black and looking at the stars (saw 3 shooting stars-- never seen one before); waking up early and seeing the sunrise; hikes in the desert; the great local food. We had a delicious Middle Eastern meal at Joshua Hookah Lounge in Yucca Valley. It is in a strip mall and has a hookah bar (not a great attraction for us as we all don't smoke); we went for lunch and there was no smoking--don't miss this! A word about Cindy-- she was friendly and always available by phone and she has filled the house with comfort and good taste. The kitchen is well equipped (we did not need to bring any spices or seasonings). Spend as much time eating outside and just lounging!

Serene desert perch with gorgeous views

Our stay at Luna Vista was wonderful. The location is perfect -- only a mile or so from the west entrance of Joshua Tree, but secluded in a natural oasis with abundant wildlife. (Even a coyote paid us a visit, and posed on boulders for us to view in the canyon below the property.) The home is cozy and filled with all the accoutrements that one might want -- with comfortable bedding and a stocked kitchen. However, it is the various thoughtful outdoor gathering places on the extensive property -- tables and chairs, hammock, benches and the views! that set this place a part. (There's a cowboy tub, too -- but it was too cool for us to use it in March.) Cindy was great to work with -- she answered questions before our arrival promptly, was upbeat and professional. After that we never needed to reach out to her... Our self check-in and out worked perfectly.

Waarom de eigenaar deze accommodatie gekozen heeft

We are Southern California natives who have been coming to and loving the Mojave Desert for five generations now. For many decades we enjoyed the use of a primitive cabin in the Eastern Sierra near Mt. Whitney that my father helped build with his cousin in the 1950s, and where I spent many hours fantasizing a pioneer life. Unfortunately, our beloved cabin burned down in a ferocious wildfire in 2007. It was a heartbreaking loss for our family. But in 2008, on a last-minute weekend trip to Joshua Tree, we fell in love with this southern part of the same Mojave Desert. We returned to peek around at property here and were so very fortunate to find this special spot in the Joshua Tree Highlands right next to the National Park! We are in love with the abundance of flora and fauna, the unusual and awesome geology, the glorious sunrises and sunsets, the forever views of the ever-changing desert landscape, the dazzling night sky and, of course, the beautiful moonrises…

The expansive views set this property apart from the rest! 360 degrees of awesomeness just steps away from Joshua Tree National Park. Because Luna Vista is located at a higher elevation (3400 ft), we receive a bit more moisture than other areas of the hi-desert. This, in addition to being located on the edge of the undeveloped and protected National Park, has resulted in an exceptional native garden with daily wildlife visitations. It's truly a special place!
