The information about the property described that there were 20 steps from front door down to beach area. Recommendation: Also Mention that there are steps down from parking area to front door and steps inside from living area up to bedroom area.

Staying at Cathy and Steve’s beach house was the perfect setting for our annual girls’ getaway. Its location couldn’t have been better, close to the Tonquin Beach trails, within walking distance of downtown Tofino, and with our very own beach to explore right outside our door.Cathy’s incredible attention to detail made the beach house feel warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully appointed. Her wonderful recommendations also helped us make the most of our time in Tofino. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to relax, reconnect, and enjoy time together. We would absolutely love to return!

A wonderful place to stay for our multi-generational family vacation. Cathy was great to communicate with and super-helpful. The suite was impeccable and we felt at home right away, it was so comfortable and welcoming. The suite has everything you could need and more. And the setting! Wow! Virtually a private sandy beach, calm and perfect. Stunning all times of the day. Walking distance to town, which is what we were looking for, plus a great forest walking trail right outside the gate. Appreciated being able to not take our car for many of our excursions as parking in Tofino is a bit crazy. :) The suite is on the lower level of the house and host lives upstairs -- this was not entirely clear in the post but not an issue as they are lovely people.There are some outdoor stairs that were a bit of a challenge for our 80 year old mom but she managed. Highly recommend! Tonquin and this stay are hidden gems for sure! Will plan to return.

Absolutely stunning location just off Tonquin Beach. The suite is on the lower floor of the main residence with its own private entrance and was the perfect set up for our family (2 adults and 2 kids - 1 preteen, 1 teen). The views were amazing, the beach access was perfect. Cathy was friendly and attentive. The rooms were tidy and comfortable and laundry was made available to us by request. Some minor cobwebs in less seen locations around the home but nothing to worry about. We had a great trip to Tofino and look forward to visiting again.

I ( along with my adult kids and grandkids) had a great stay! The Bedrooms all had a view of the ocean and comfy beds and the big living room was perfect and planning our activities and resting up after a busy day. Cathy gave us the best tips for hiking and beach walks including renting wet suits and boogie boards to play all day in the cold Pacific Ocean. We had a blast. We all would have loved to stay longer. Thanks Cathy!

The place is incredible. The location amazing. Such a perfect place for a young family looking to get away to the seaside. Everything you'd need for cozy mornings and nights. Such a warm place and everything you need for a getaway.

The rooms were nice and well furnished. Noise level from above was often quite loud and disruptive. The towels were kindly laid out in the washroom and on the beds, however, the smell was unpleasant.The access to the beach is beautiful and the setting of the property is lovely.

This was a great place for our family with a baby and preschooler. The beach was so nice and the suite was very comfortable. Bring black out shades for the windows and be ready to carry your stuff down stairs to the suite which is located on the bottom floor of the house. Cooking pans were limited so bring a larger sauté pan if you need one. The location was great, close enough for us to walk into town with the stroller. And we appreciate being able to use the high chair. Thanks for a great stay, we will be back!

This is a great Tofino property right adjacent to the Tonquin trail to the beach and with direct access albeit with stairs, some of which are not accompanied with rails. The lodging was great for three guys who have been getting together for more than 50 years. The kitchen is well stocked and the host always willing to provide what might have been needed. We did use the grill for a couple of our dinners (featuring fish acquired from The Fish Store). There are about 16 steps (probably 8" height each) down to the lodging....keep in mind. The view is excellent and the bird sounds superb as we identified at least eight different species. Proximity to town is very good. All in all a very good choice. We were even provided with fresh flowers and homemade bars.

Cathy is an excellent host - brought a loaf of fresh bread and homemade blackberry jelly. The location is amazing -close to town, the Tonquin trail. The private beach is spectacular. We hope to return.
