1e verdieping heeft 4 slaapkamers 1e verdieping master wordt omgezet in een kinderkamer, die kunnen slapen tot 6. Slaapkamer 2, 3 en 4 hebben elk een volledige of Queen size tweepersoonsbed slapen 2 per kamer.

Master slaapkamer met Queen op de 2e verdieping met een grote open keuken woon / eetkamer 2 glazen schuifdeuren te wikkelen rond het dek en grill. Woonkamer heeft 2 grote leren banken en suède stoelen.

Dish TV met 2 televisies één in de woonkamer en een in de master bedroom. WIFI hook up beschikbaar. Private achtertuin met privacy hek geschikt voor buiten eten en koken. 2 zone boilers een boven en een beneden zorgt voor voldoende warm water.
Gemeenschap dock voor kajakken en krabben in Salt Pond. Wij bieden 3 kajaks voor uw exclusieve gebruik met krabbennetten voor gebruik door kinderen bij het dok.

Onze ingang ligt aan de overkant van Fresh Pond State Park. Wandelen / Fietstraject is een blok west. Downtown Bethany Beach winkelen is een mijl per auto.

Zorg ervoor dat u SeaCrest cadeauwinkel bezoeken op Garfield en de Boardwalk. Kijk voor de lokale aquarel en fotokunst door Rosemary Carroll en zeg hallo tegen eigenaren Liz en Ed.
Het beste ontbijt in de omgeving is ofwel Ocean View Diner of Penguin Diner. Beide bevatten gluten / tarwe gratis menu.

Cafe 26 is onze favoriete plek om te dineren, maar we hebben veel van de beste chef-koks van het noordoosten hier in de omgeving. Difebo; s beschikt over twee van de vele afgestudeerden van de CIA (Culinary Institute of Arts) in New York. Nantuckets in Fenwick is geweldig

Het nachtleven is rustig in Betanië, maar een korte rit (15 minuten) in beide richtingen brengt je naar Rehoboth Beach / Dewey Beach in het noorden of Ocean City, MD naar het zuiden.
G & E Hockers heeft de beste Duitse stijl deli, bakker, kruidenier, ijzerhandel in DE. Het heeft ook het dichtstbijzijnde benzinepompen. Zorg ervoor dat u in de winkel gekookte vleeswaren en bakkerijproducten probeert. Het is ongeveer een 1/4 tot 1/2 mijl west op Fred Hudson Road.
* Er is parkeergelegenheid voor vier auto's op de zwarte top oprit. De studio op het terrein wordt gebruikt door eigenaren en heeft grind oprit ervoor voor de eigenaren. Als een gast iets nodig heeft, kunnen we worden bereikt en zullen we ons best doen om ervoor te zorgen dat de vakantie van elke gast een BETHANY BEACH HOLIDAY-traditie wordt!

House was perfect for our annual vacation to Bethany. We hadn't found this listing before, and we were thrilled with the flexibility of going to the beach or staying back and enjoying the pool. There was plenty of room for my family (with adult children) to hang out and play games when we weren't enjoying the beach/pool.

Our family had a wonderful time at the Pilot House. The entire family really enjoyed the pool each day.The house is in a great location and has everything you need. Rosemary immediately addressed a few small issues and is an absolutely lovely person.

The house was just what we wanted. A nice house with a pool to get our family together for a nice week. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, AC worked great, pool was clean and refreshing. We were close to the Boardwalk and Bethany Beach (2miles), 3 miles from Delaware State Park beach which we were advised to go to from our fantastic host. She provided parking passes for us for the Beach for a couple of days. Rosemary the Host was close by to respond to anything we needed and her advice on everything from when to crab on their private dock, to what beaches were best and where to get best food all were on target. House was only 1 mile from supermarket that was open very early in the morning. I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a place to relax with your family.

A Relaxing Beach Week

The owner was very attentive to our needs. We wish we were closer to the beach but we were able to enjoy the pool, the pier, and the state beach, which was only a 10-15 mins drive away.

We had a wonderful time vacationing here. The pool was a big hit with the whole family from seniors to little kids. From the dining room you can see the Salt Pond. The community crabbing pier is just down the block. Can't say enough about the hospitality of the owners.

The Pilot House was absolutely wonderful for our family. A welcoming home with the bonus of a relaxing pool area where we spent much of our time. Our host Rosemary was super responsive and had great information about the area. Bethany is a fabulous beach with a small town feel and the location of this house was fabulous ... close enough to be convenient, but a little ways away from the noise and bustle of town. I highly recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!!

Great location

The house is beautiful and roomy. Wonderful layout. The pool was perfect. Short little walk to Salt Pond for kayaking and crabbing. So close to downtown Bethany, everything you need right there.

Perfect Family Vacation Spot

The Pilot House was the perfect location for our family vacation! We found your home to be spotless and nicely furnished, and very well supplied. The pool and the location of the house provided fun for everyone from our 3 toddlers to our golfers and bikers. It was convenient to the beach and boardwalk, and the grocery store. We were also grateful for the many local attractions on the rainy days!

Great Family Vacation Home

Great home to rent if you have a large family! The house is spacious, clean and best of all you get your very own pool. The beach was only minutes away. There are kayaks provided for you as well as a dock that you can walk to to go kayaking or crabbing. A great place with different activities for the whole family.

Everything was perfect except the weather but apparently Rosemary the host, couldn’t help with that! Wish we could have enjoyed the beautiful pool more but so glad we had a gorgeous home to spend most of our rainy days in. Rosemary was a fabulous host and wonderful to talk to. The welcome basket was great and so unexpected. Amazing place to stay!!

Laurie and her family were so delightful, tidy and thoughtful! Despite the challenging weather, they remained so cheerful and full of energy. Even when the weather was damp their spirits were not. Off they went biking, hiking and kayaking.....Truly troopers and kept the property neater and more organized than before they arrived. When they left it looked as if the cleaning crew had already cleaned! The towels were folded with such unbelievably neat corners and such precision, I wish I could take lessons from them! Bestest people ever!

Rosemary was a lovely host--- she really took into consideration what we wanted to do on vacation-- giving plenty of recommendations for kids and adults. She included special touches for everyone. Family Vacation 2024

Our family - eight adults and four children - ages 7-14 - had a wonderful week in Bethany at this property. The house was perfect and the salt water pool kept kids and grownups happy when we we weren’t at Bethany Beach, Rehoboth, or Ocean City. The location was perfect - as was the weather. The location provided running trails, access to a kayak pond, and was only a short drive to Hocker’s grocery. All this made for a very pleasant week away!

Wonderful family vacation!

We really enjoyed the Pilot House ! The pool is so nice. We have young grandchildren who cannot be on the beach all day and the pool was great for them. The house is laid out conveniently. You could get away from the crowd or join in. Salt Pond was a big hit too. We had many walks to check out the ospreys, herons, jellies, and minnows.

Wonderful vacation home

Spent a wonderful week in this beautiful home. Accommodated the 12 of us very nicely. Kitchen well stocked and happy to see a Keurig. Some of us enjoyed the kayaks on the bay and crabbing from the pier only a short walk away. The free parking passes for the beach were appreciated. Since it was a very hot week, the lovely pool was probably our favorite pastime. The owners were very friendly and helpful when needed. Would not hesitate to stay in this rental again.

We have lived in Bethany Beach for nearly 30 years. We have been involved in the maritime industry for over 70 years. My Dad was Chief Mate on many Liberty ships, owned a lobster boat and supplied ships with parts and materials-handling. Many of my children pursued a maritime college career path and then my husband and I started a non-profit to train and place deckhands on tug boats, ferries and cruise ship lines.
We decided to christen the house, THE PILOT HOUSE! A pilot is a Captain of unlimited tonnage who navigates ships through dangerous or congested waterways, such as the harbor, bay and winding rivers with shallow shoals, changing currents and challenging bends. In all kinds of weather, these pilots bring the ships up river to safe harbor in Wilmington or Philadelphia. Some members of our family, who grew up in this house, are pilots. As our salute to these brave men and women who risk their lives, daily, we named our house, THE PILOT HOUSE! We love this house and the small town atmosphere of the "Quiet Resorts" and hope you do, too!

This very private community we always loved the setting.
The house is designed to maximize covenience and utility for a large family yet maintain individual privacy. The Kitchen and Living area are on the second floor for the view. The open 2 story foyer unites upstairs with downstairs. Yet the bedroom occupants can get quiet respite from the rest of the house by simply closing their door.
It is secluded yet very convenient. It is a 3 hour drive from the bridges and tunnels into NYC. It takes less than 3 hours from Philadelphia. It takes 45 minutes to get to Salisbury, MD. Baltimore and Washington are each about 2-3 hours. All final driving times depend upon traffic so we always leave as early as possible.

But the property is very convenient to local attractions, businesses and shopping as well. The beaches are just down the street. The State Park system is across the street. Ocean City amusement parks and night life are a 15 minute drive. Dewey Beach and Rehoboth Beach are 10-15 minutes away in the opposite direction.

There is enough to do within walking/biking distance that you can literally stay here for the week and never use your car. However, Movie Theaters, Amusement Parks, Water Slides, Restaurants, Grocery Stores and other attractions are very close.

We fell in love with the Salt Pond and the activities here. We especially loved kayaking and crabbing with young children. Early morning sunrises with a cup of coffee and a camera while sitting at the dock or later at night watching the sunset are a unique treasure here.

If you have young children and/or grandchildren you must visit FUNLAND in Rehoboth Beach. This family owned amusement park has been in continuous operation for over 60 years and is considered a National Treasure. The rides designed for toddlers are so amazingly simple and inexpensive for young parents that it is a miracle that they still thrive economically. If you head to Ocean City one of the best things to do with little kids 12 and under is the Pirate Treasure hunt. You go out on a real PIRATE boat and hunt for treasure. It's a must every year for our little ones!
