Acadia Yurts biedt bezoekers de meest unieke manier om op Mount Desert Island te verblijven. Zeven leuke, milieuvriendelijke Yurts en twee Tiny Houses brengen je zo dicht bij de natuur als kamperen, met alle gemakken van thuis. Acadia Yurts ligt op 5 hectare prachtig bebost terrein, omringd door Acadia National Park, en biedt een rustig toevluchtsoord voor uw groep (maximaal 4 gasten per 24 'Yurt, 6 gasten voor de 30' Yurt of 2 gasten per Tiny House). Acadia Yurts is ook ideaal voor grote groepen die reizen met accommodaties voor maximaal 34 personen op 1 locatie.

Een yurt is een tentachtige cirkelvormige structuur met een houten roosterframe dat zijn oorsprong vond in de nomadische stammen in Azië. Deze permanente, kleurrijke structuren hebben dikke canvas buitenmuren met reflecterende isolatie en een hoogrendement warmtepomp / AC-eenheid, zodat u tijdens elk seizoen comfortabel kunt zijn. Yurts worden snel een nieuwe vakantie-ervaring die vakantiegangers overal in de VS van genieten, van klifzijde in Californië tot skihutten in Colorado. Dit is een gedenkwaardige plek om te verblijven terwijl je geniet van de schoonheid van Acadia!

Fantastic little place

We had a great visit to Acadia and this clamping yurt was the perfect middle ground between camping and getting a hotel. The space was clean, bed was comfy and hosts were very communicative, but not hovering.

This place is absolutely beautiful! We will be back, the host is great and the place is amazing. We stayed in one of the yurts. Super comfy and just perfect for us. We did a lot of hiking, kayaking and biking in Acadia national park. Perch place!

Awesome place to stay on MDI!

My family loved our stay at Acadia yurts! The yurts are cozy and well appointed and we loved the location - nestled in the woods and away from the hustle and bustle. It was a perfect place to retreat to after spending time in Acadia and around the Island's busy towns. We can't wait to return!

Eco Friendly Yurt Living

We had a lovely stay in our yurt. It literally had all the amenities you would ever want or need. I would highly recommend staying here over touristy Bar Harbor.

Wonderful base for Acadia NP and Bar Harbor!

The yurt was very clean, and it was such a fun place to stay! We were only there for 3 nights, and with so much to do in the area, we just didn't have time to take full advantage of everything that Acadia Yurts has to offer (fire pit, wellness center, etc), but we'll definitely plan another (longer) stay there!

Peaceful and relaxing

We loved our stay. The yurt was clean, everything accessible to make our stay easy. Short drive to Bar Harbor for dinner and shopping. Short drive to Acadia Park. 10/10 we would absolutely stay again. I have to say that the tankless water heater was greatly appreciated when there were 4 of us showering to get ready.

Hidden Gem

Loved our stay at Acadia Yurts. The yurt was very well, equipped, and the location was fantastic on the quiet side of the island. Very easy location to access the park as well as lots of other local features. The entire property was fantastic. Very close to a fantastic coffee shop.

Fantastic stay

Acadia Yurts is a fantastic place to stay. It is glamping to the max. The yurt was very clean and well equipped. It is close enough to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park that you can get there quickly, yet it is far enough away that you can enjoy the peace and quiet of being in the woods. I highly recommend staying at Acadia Yurts.

Staying on the "quieter" side of Mt Desert Island, gave us the opportunity to hike new parts of Acadia with views just as spectacular as Cadillac Mt. ( Mt. St. Sauvier and Acadia Mt). The yurts were a great compromise for the 2 young adults wanting camping in the woods and us elders preferring a bed and kitchen. THANKS Acadia Yurts!

Eigenaar: Karen Roper

Aaron is a Maine native. He was born and raised across the bridge in Trenton and grew up attending local Bar Harbor schools. He has worked in the restaurant industry for 20+ years beginning as a prep cook in high school then moving toward general manager. Aaron's favorite extracurricular activity is learning all he can about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. As often as he can, he trains locally and loves sharing this passion with others.

Karen is a transplant. Originally from Chicago she made her way to Maine in 2009 and fell in love immediately. In Acadia she enjoys hiking, trail running, yoga, and long walks on the carriage roads. Karen has been teaching yoga locally for over 6 years and now brings her practice to the Wellness Center (located on site at Acadia Yurts). Karen is also a licensed massage therapist and offers services onsite (pending availability).

As a couple we have done quite a bit of traveling and through that we have narrowed down the particular way we like to travel. The biggest factor for us is having a furnished kitchen in order to prepare health minded foods to nourish our bodies and support all our outdoor activities. The idea for Acadia Yurts has been brewing for quite some time. Friends of ours live off the grid in a yurt and we greatly appreciate the rustic, romantic feel of the yurt but wanted some of the comforts of home; running water, heat, electricity. From there Acadia Yurts was born. We truly hope you enjoy our property and your time here as much as we do.
