Chill out and relax in true Portuguese style at Casa da Aldeia!
The cottage, which date back to 1911, is originally part of a traditional Portuguese farm. However, it has been renovated to offer the perfect Portuguese holiday experience.
The cottage still contain many of the original authentic details such as a well, traditional oven and the preserved tile flooring. This traditional Portuguese feel at the Casa de Aldeia resonates throughout the local area of Santa Babara de Nexe.
The cottage can sleep up to four people, with one bedroom that can sleep two people and another luxury double sofa bed that can accommodate an additional two people.
The Portuguese holiday home has a private entrance, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, living room and outdoor eating area, and they can be booked together or individually. The cottage also come with free Wi-Fi.
Bed linen and towels are provided.
Shared areas include the rooftop terrace, garden with sun beds and swimming pool, courtyard with access to the BBQ.
Casa da Aldeia has beautiful views of the entire Bay from Faro and is also a good base for the whole Algarve.
Algarve is literally at your feet.
Each morning, the fish monger pass by the cottages where you can purchase fresh bread and fish. There is also a brilliant butcher just 10 minutes walk from the cottages. We grow our own herbs which are available be to all our guests. We also make our own yoghurt and jam.
If you want to change things up and experience some of the local city life then Faro is just a 12 minute drive away. With an array of restaurants, cafes and a beautiful beaches Faro is a great insight into what the Algarve has to offer.

Away from the hustle and bustle of Faro you can find a range of beautiful island beaches that can be reached by a small train or boat. Away from the sea, you can head to Monchique where you will find the best views the Algarve has to offer and also some of the best Peri-Peri chicken too.
Sticking with the theme of local produce there are a number of local markets in which you can purchase all the local delicacies including cheese, olives, bread and fresh fruit.

Péssimo, desaconselhável, anúncio não corresponde a realidade

O anfitrião, Alex, para além de ser desconfiado, foi mal educado connosco por várias vezes, rude e arrogante, sobretudo quando lhe pedíamos coisas que estavam em falta na casa. Já não bastava a casa não ser como descrita no anúncio, tinha de ter um mau anfitrião. A casa é muito simples e super pequena, nada do que o anúncio transparece. As janelas não tem persianas, logo à pouca privacidade e muita luz a partir das 6 da manhã. A piscina não é nada mais que um tanque improvisado, de 2m de largura por 4de comprimento, o que também ficou aquém das expectativas do anúncio. Diz também no anúncio que há estacionamento privado, mais uma mentira, o único estacionamento que há é a 50metros da casa, em cima de um passeio. O preço é elevAdo para aquilo que a casa é, e tendo em conta a localização...a casa fica, literalmente, no meio do nada, com difícil acesso e sem qualquer pastelaria, loja e mercearia perto, para além de que fica a quase 25km da praia. Resumindo, não aconselho esta casa, nem para quem quer conhecer faro ou o Algarve, nem para quem já conhece, pois há muitas casas melhores, com melhor localização e a melhores preços.

In the morning, the fishmonger with fresh fish comes along. If you are looking for the hustle in 12 minutes in the middle of the city of Faro or you lie on the beach. Casa da Aldeia has fabulous views over the bay and is ideally also a good base for the Algarve. Algarve is literally at your feet.

It is a traditional Portuguese House from the year 1911. Authentic details are everywhere. One vila has an old-fashioned well and the other vila a traditional oven. It is a unique location to relax, be away from it all and, if necessary, yet very close to the city, shopping centre, café, restaurants and the beach.
The views of Casa da Aldeia are amazing.
All buildings are painted in the original colors, blue and white, all together a beautiful, colorful picture.
