Nieuw huis met 2 slaapkamers en 2 badkamers met zwembad en gemakkelijke toegang tot het strand, geopend in december 2015.

Exclusieve privéwoning op Playa Potrero, bekroond met de prestigieuze Blauwe Vlag-aanduiding als een uitstekend ecologisch strand.

Steenworp afstand van de oceaan, en uw prive zwembad ligt vlak bij de overdekte Lanai. Playa Potrero staat bekend om zijn zachte vulkanische zand en zacht warm oceaanwater. Het is het perfecte zwemmers- en wandelstrand.

Great home

Great location and very well equipped and comfortable home. Wish we were staying longer. Our only negative was that we assumed that when the listing said “oceanfront” that it was right on the ocean. Only one block from the ocean but with the buildings in front of the house you couldn’t even see the water.

This was our second stay at Casa Columbine and everything was wonderful, just as before! The location is great for short drives to other beaches (since Potrero is a little too rocky for our kids), especially Flamingo and Prieta. Great restaurants near by as well!

Fantastic home & location

We loved Casa Columbine! Really quiet and private, we especially enjoyed the pool and backyard area, as well as some of the other amenities like beach chairs, coolers, and kayak! Highly recommend.

Perfect R&R Home

Everything about Casa Columbine was perfect. The location, the comfort of the home, the well-equipped kitchen, the concierge service, the amenities, etc.. Simply the best VRBO home we have stayed in over the years. If our travels bring us back to Playa Potrero without a doubt we would stay here again.

Took our 9 month old and couldn’t have worked better. 3 minutes to water, short walk or drive to the restaurants, and authentic CR feel. Our host was awesome to communicate with as well. Highly recommend

Lovely place to relax close the ocean

Five minute walk to the beach. Beautifully kept property and pool. Superb yoga center 5 minute walk down the beach with multiple classes per day. Can reliably and safely open water swim anytime of day

Beautiful home!

We loved Casa Columbine! The listing photos are very accurate of the home. It is very clean & well-stocked. The backyard is a beautiful oasis but beware of the mosquitoes if you are visiting during rainy season. Maria was wonderful & very welcoming when she met us at the home. Check out was super easy as well.

Excellent trip

We had a wonderful time staying at the house. The location was great and the house was very comfortable. The only thing that I would have changed is the coffee maker. It needs to be desperately updated. Other than that, we had a wonderful week. We knew the area, so we didn't spend much time at the house, but I can see how it would be easy to relax here. Casa Columbine is home

We loved our stay so much. The house is so private and quiet and well appointed with everything we needed. Although there are many great places to eat nearby, we opted to cook at home most days as the outdoor kitchen and table are perfect. We spent most of our time alternating between lounging in the shade of the lanai and dipping into the coolness of the pool. The provided beach chairs were perfect for the daily spectacular beach-time sunset watch. We’ve been to Potrero before and we love the great selection of bars and restaurants (Perlas, El Castillo) and quiet beach. It is getting busier though so come before the news gets out that it’s the best little town in Costa Rica.

A Piece of Paradise

It has been over 20 years since I've been to Costa Rica and it is exactly how I remembered. The people and food are amazing! And this house was the perfect location. Walking distance to a fairly private beach, this home has everything you need. From a great sound system to a beautiful pool, we didn't want for anything. I highly recommend using Miguel for his private chef service. He and Anna made us several delicious meals during our stay with the freshest food you can imagine. And the concierge service took great care of us during our stay making sure we had everything we needed. I will not be waiting another 20 years to come back.

Didn't want to leave!

This place is amazing! Great location to everything. Beach so close you can hear the waves crash at night! I highly recommend renting a golf cart! We were able to go just about everywhere we wanted to on our golf cart, it was so great to have. I only have 2 little baby suggestions - 1-maybe have a storage box for floaties, noodles, etc, the raccoons like to nibble on them! If there was a way to secure them away at night, that would be great. 2-we like to cook and did cook in the house, but only once because there were not any basic seasonings, not even salt and pepper, it would be nice to have some basic seasonings available so one doesn't have to buy a bunch of seasoning just to make dinner. Other than those 2 things-which are certainly not deal breakers, just observations, our 10 day stay here was absolutely incredible! I really liked that Mike had reached out to me to see how everything was going as well, nice touch. We didn't deal much with the property management, check in and out and they booked an excursion for us as well. Overall, I would return to Playa Potrero and stay at Casa Columbine again!

Das Haus ist sehr zu empfehlen. Haus und Grundstück sind in einem liebevoll gepflegten Zustand. Hier merkt man, dass die Eigentümer das Haus auch selbst nutzen. Der Empfang erfolgte durch einen Mitarbeiter der Agentur, welcher uns ausführlich zum Haus einwies und die Schlüssel übergab. Die Kinder genossen viel Zeit im tollen Pool (Wasserspielzeug war ausreichend vorhanden). Auf der überdachten Terrasse mit bequemen Holzmöbeln, Outdoorküche mit Gasgrill, Beleuchtung und Ventilatoren haben wir viele Stunden verbracht. Von hier aus konnten viele Tiere beobachtet werden (Bunthörnchen, Leguan, grüne Eidechsen, Waschbär, Stinktier, Kolibri, Adler,..., selbst eine Krabbe lief über die Terrasse). Die Küche verfügt über eine sehr gute Ausstattung, so dass wir nichts vermissten. Bei unserem Eintreffen war ein Obstkorb mit leckeren regionalen Früchten vorhanden. Wichtige und nützliche Informationen wurden durch die Vermieter in Form von QR-Codes zur Verfügung gestellt. Gut zu wissen: alle Fenster und Terrassentüren verfügen über Fliegengitter. Das Haus selbst befindet sich in einer ruhigen gepflegten Wohngegend. Zum Strand sind es ca. 3min zu Fuß (Strandstühle sind im Haus vorhanden). Die Sonnenuntergänge sind spektakulär. Wir würden das Haus jederzeit wieder mieten und können es nur empfehlen.

Casa Columbine was fantastic! The inside and outside spaces were updated, comfortable, clean, and cared for well. The backyard was an oasis with the pool and manicured gardens. We even saw monkeys, iguanas, and unique birds from the back patio. The owners stocked everything to cook excellent meals (cookware, spices, etc.), spend hours at the beach (chairs, coolers, towels, and toys), or simply relax in their expansive home. Having a full size washer and dryer allowed us to pack light for the trip. Check in and out were seamless with clear directions from the property managers and the owner. The house is close to the beach, restaurants, and many outdoor adventures, but some days we couldn’t tear ourselves away from the refreshing pool and garden. We would rate Mike’s wonderful property more than five stars if we could, and are already planning a return trip for next year. If you are looking for a clean, safe, well-appointed, beautiful home with a private pool near to everything in Playa Potrero, book Casa Columbine now.

I fell in love with Costa Rica during my first visit here in 2005. Casa Columbine is named after the state flower of Colorado, and is a life long dream come t0 have my very own beach home! I first visited Potrero in February 2015, and from the first view of the bay from Las Brisas Bar, and throughout my week here, it felt right. There is a laid-back, authentic, quiet, and friendly feeling to this place that is so refreshing.
