Overall beautiful location with a very charming renovated cottage. The views were fantastic right on South Manistique lake. Quiet. Marjorie communicated very well answering any questions quickly. A good central location for visiting sites in the UP. Great that we could bring our dog. Only things to add would be a dishwasher and wi-fi for the cabin. I missed that detail in the description on VRBO that it was not there. Would definately recommend this cottage.

The cabin was phenomenal. While we just used the upstairs the downstairs was just as clean and also had a mini kitchen.The lake view was awesome and so was the fishing. Only brought up the kayaks but still caught over 20 fish. Mostly bass but also a pike and a 20 inch walleye.Our host had a cabin just a few doors down. They were awesome to visit with.This cabin is definitely on the return to visit list!

This place was fantastic...felt at home and rested when we left. Went ice fishing, snowmobiling and site seeing...cannot wait to go back.

The host was very helpful and available for any questions. The house was cozy and decorated so cute. It was very convenient for a family stay as it has 2 bathrooms, washer and dryer, and 2 living room areas. The views of the lake it is on were beautiful!

Great location and views. Room for our 2 snowmobile trailers was nice. Marjorie was very responsive to questions. It was a cozy stay for the 4 of us to enjoy the local trails.

Great little cabin, easy access to the lake, our dog enjoyed swimming and barking at the ducks! Was a pretty good centralized base camp for all the things we wanted to do, mostly and hour or less away! Very peaceful at night sitting around the bonfire looking out onto the lake. We were so lucky to have gorgeous weather every day we were there!!!

House was lovely. Loved being on the lake and the ability of my family being able to fish off the dock was fantastic. We also appreciate that it was pet friendly. Our fur babies enjoyed it as well. The host was very responsive.

Best ever. The place is just like the pictures show and comfortable beds. The host was very attentive and asked back in a timely manner. I hope I can stay here again next year if I can get away.

The house was comfortable, clean and cozy. Plenty of space for parents, kids and a dog. The lake is stunning and quiet. The location was great for day trips to multiple other towns and waterfalls. Great stay.

Gorgeous view, very clean, and tons of memories made! All conversations with the owners were wonderful, made me feel like their home was our home too while we were there. Book this place!

No WIFI.When we got there there were fans going in the basement as if there was water damage... including a bad smell. The 4th evening when we went to bed there was a small amount of water covering the floor in the basement including bedroom, hall, and living area (after a lot of rain), but it was gone in the morning. **The water smelled and tasted like metal and was very noticeable when we showered and brushed our teeth. Bring water!!There were a lot of basic things missing that most places have (i.e., kleenex, salt & pepper, coffee. And nothing in showers - not even a little bar of soap).We saw a few black widows outside close to the house so the outside needs a good cleaning/sweep of cobwebs, old leaves/debris, etc. We felt like these were things that needed to be addressed.But this was a very beautiful, peaceful area.

Snowmobile Trip

The location was perfect, which is just South Curtis, right on the lake, easy entry for either icefishing or snowmobiling. The home was well appointed with updated furniture, and a very easy layout. Will stay here many times more in the future.

This place was amazing and we truly enjoyed our time there. The host was beyond accommodating. The only thing that i thought could have been better was the cleaning prior to our arrival. I get it that it’s on a lake and there will be spiders but every overhead light and lamp inside had spider/cob webs on them.

UP Trip

What a great little cottage for a long weekend in the UP. Super clean and the space was perfect for 4 adults, 2 kids, and our dog. Loved the peaceful lake in the mornings and evenings. The night sky was also INCREDIBLE. Marge was a fabulous host and responded quickly to questions. Definitely recommend!

UP Bliss on The Lake

Our stay on S. Manistique Lake was nothing short of wonderful. The cottage was super clean; the indoor and outdoor spaces are very nice and take advantage of the wonderful lake views. Marge was great to communicate with before and during the rental, providing helpful information and quickly responding to any questions. All in all enjoyed our stay very much and definitely would return if in the area again.
