This was my first time using vrbo, and I'll certainly pay closer attention to reviews in the future. This condo definitely had perks and plenty of flaws. First, the good: location was fantastic, the beach was right outside our door, within walking distance of shops and a few restaurants, and only a short drive to bigger beaches and more attractions like Clearwater beach, Madeira beach, and John's Pass. The pool on the property was great, although I hear it is being replaced due to a bizarre zoning requirement. The linens, dishes, kitchen and bathroom fixtures were all clean. Now the flaws: the smell was awful. Upon entering for the first time, there was a very strong air freshener, which we soon discovered was trying to cover a horrific rotten smell that never completely went away. We aired the place out multiple times/day and sprayed a LOT of Febreeze to make it tolerable. Another flaw was the floor, which was not clean when we arrived. It had some kind of greasy build up that stuck to bare feet. We wore our shoes all the time just to keep our feet clean. Luckily for us, the weather was fantastic during our stay, so we didnt spend much time indoors at all. We enjoyed the sun in the pool and at the beaches, but didnt enjoy the smell or the greasy floor.
