Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that the thermostat repair disrupted your stay and took longer than anticipated. We want to clarify that we did not enter the condo without permission. Upon arrival, we were let inside by a member of the party and had a friendly conversation about the condo. We explained what was happening and asked if we could come in and do a quick replacement. She agreed, and complimented us on the beautiful condo. Our Nest thermostat had alerted us to a significant issue before our guests had noticed a problem. Because this occurred during the heat of the summer, we were concerned about the condo becoming too warm or potentially losing air conditioning altogether becoming a much larger problem as the AC is very sensitive in these large condos. Unfortunately, during the height of summer in Panama City Beach, HVAC technicians are extremely busy, and getting someone out quickly can be very difficult. When a technician is able to come, particularly for an issue that could affect the air conditioning, there often isn’t the option of asking them to return the following day. In this instance, we were given approximately ten minutes’ notice that the technician was on his way, so we came over promptly to ensure the issue could be addressed before it became a larger problem. The replacement took about an hour because the thermostat was not syncing correctly and we did not want to leave the condo with any further AC issues. We are genuinely sorry that it took longer than expected and interrupted your afternoon. Our only intention was to address the problem proactively and make sure the condo remained cool and comfortable for the remainder of your stay. We would never want a guest to feel uncomfortable in our home and we are sorry for any inconvience.
