Sandpiper Cottage

Welkom bij Sandpiper Cottage, een vakantieverhuur in Pacific City, waar een spectaculair uitzicht op de rivier en de oceaan op u wacht vanuit elke kamer! Sandpiper Cottage is een korte rit naar de stranden, zandduinen en alle kustavonturen die de kust van Central Oregon biedt. Loop een trap af om bij de voordeur te komen en stap in huis weg van huis. De grote woonkamer van Sand Piper Cottage beschikt over een open plattegrond, hardhouten vloeren en comfortabele meubels. Dit charmante huis met drie verdiepingen heeft vier slaapkamers en drie-en-een-half badkamers met veel comfort en ruimte voor maximaal 10 gasten. Er zijn twee slaapkamers met queensize bedden op de bovenverdieping, een grote suite met een kingsize bed op de hoofdverdieping en een stapelbed met vier tweelingen beneden. Twee babyhekken en een reiswieg zijn beschikbaar voor gebruik indien nodig. Speciale voorzieningen zijn onder andere een breedbeeld-tv met kabelzenders, een dvd-speler, WiFi, een bad met klauwvoet, gasbarbecue en een houtkachel.

Family Vacation
Great view off the deck. Great for 10 people. Furniture is showing a lot of wear. A lot of cobwebs around light fixtures and ceiling. Would have been more comfortable if there were less stuff on the bookshelves.

Family beach trip
We had a peaceful stay at the house. One of the rooms didn’t have electricity when we arrived (still don’t know how/why) but the host was responsive and got the lights back on pretty quickly. Great river and ocean views from different rooms, nice balcony and a comfortable kitchen for cooking family dinners.

Beautiful but doesn't have a Hot Tub as advertised.
The place is beautiful - spacious living room with TV and games, fully equipped kitchen, plenty of restrooms, amazing views from the deck, plenty of beds and a convenient distance from all Pacific city has to offer. However, one of the main reasons I opted for this place was because of the presence of "Hot Tub" as listed in the advertisement page for the property. This place didn't have any. It only had a bath tub that could fit only 1 person at a time.

Greatest view ever
Great place to stay for a couple of days. The view was spectacular and the surrounding sites fun and interesting. House was updated and nice. It had a few small cob webs inside which need attention, but great place to stay. Lots of cob webs outside that need to be addressed. Overall I would stay again.

Father’s Day Weekend Celebration
The view from the home was lovely, weather was perfect and we had plenty of space. The house has not been maintained with broken mini-blinds in the bedrooms, WiFi and TV not working on arrival. I spent way too much time securing WiFi access for the family and had to leave the beach and drive back to the house. He said all the blinds need to be replaced and managed to get one down that was broken in the master bathroom. The oven is really complicated to operate but we managed to figure it out. They need teflon cookware. We soaked and scrubbed pans because they were stainless steel and no brill-o pads. Not how I want to spend my beach time at the kitchen sink. The beach is lovely with public parking and restrooms available. We really had a good time but would not return to this home until they spent the time and money to properly maintain it.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We did enjoyed our experience staying here. There are a couple of things that would of enhanced our stay greatly and would motivated us to stay there again and often. We are cooks and if anyone else is, I would recommend they bring whatever pots & pans they need. The grill is bad shape and we needed to buy a brush to clean it as the brush there was truly gross. As mentioned in a previous review no one can use the top bunk of the bunk beds as the whole frame starts to collapse. One last thing, the deck chairs are cute but extremely uncomfortable, The deck has such an amazing view I would recommend more chairs and comfortable ones so as to really be able to enjoy that fantastic deck!!

There are a lot of stairs to deal with and parking was a bit of a challenge, but we had a wonderful visit. We were a little surprised to find the place hadn't been cleaned when we arrived at 4pm. After calling the PM company we were told they'd left us a message changing checkin to 6pm. We still unloaded our stuff and headed over to another family rental until late that night and it was nice and tidy when we returned.

Reviewer Comments: Sandpiper Cottage has a beautiful view of the ocean from a very nice deck. The 3 levels worked very well for our extended family. We had a couple issues, the main one being the wi-fi went out midway through our stay and we couldn't find the router to try to reset it. I called Meredith Lodging but they were not able to help me. They tried to contact the owner but evidently didn't hear back from them because I never heard back from Meredith.

Reviewer Comments: Our favorite feature of this property was the hillside locationthe view from the deck was fantastic! Beds were very comfortable, ample hot water and good pressure, kitchen was well stocked with dishes, appliances, pans, and basic seasonings, etc. The down side for our party of eight adults and one child: not enough living room couches/easy chairs to accommodate all of us for chill time together(first world problem); Both outside trash cans were filled to brim from previous tenant--never got emptied while we were there for our use; Master bedroom power was totally out first night, had to call management in as breaker box was locked up in owner storage area. Inconvenient for us and property management who had to make a service call @ 9:45 p.m.; also, no WiFi. Again, box was locked up in owner storage area so we couldn't reset on our own (as instructed in the binder) AND the user name and login is totally wrong--Boo! Service guy gave us the correct combo--Yay! Other downside was a non-functioning DVD player (tested it with our DVDs as well as theirs--no go). Sounds like nitpicking here, but the truth is, when you pay nearly $900 for only a two day stay, you expect things to work like they should and be practically perfect in every way. I've done business with Meredith Lodging before and was extremely satisfied then. Just not this house this time.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The best thing about the house was the view. We were unhappy when we arrived to find there are stairs to main entrance. One of our party had a hip replacement and another has bad knees. We probably would not have rented the place if we knew about the entry stairs ahead of time. Also, the furniture is old and in poor condition. The kitchen is not very well equipped to prepare a meal. We are not totally unhappy. There was also a stair railing coming out of the wall. That being said, we had a good time and the price was decent. The house needs some TLC and few minor upgrades, in my opinion.
