Decent spot but not quite as marketed.

The property manager was more than helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was happy with the location.
I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.

We were drawn to this house because of all of the listed amenities which was great, but it didn't seem like a lot of those amenities were ready for the season. The grass could use a cut. The cushions for the outdoor seating were covered in pollen The description listed 2 Wii gaming systems, but we only found 1 but it didn't work. No matter what we clicked on from the main menu the screen would go black and nothing would happen. It would have been great on the rainy day we had during our week. The karaoke machine was also a fun idea, but none of the microphones worked. The description listed 4 kayaks, but there were only 3 and one was too small for us. There were inflatable kayaks but without instructions we couldn't figure out how to inflate them. It seemed like some parts were missing. We had hoped to kayak as a family. And the paddle boat was filled with water, but even if empty it looked like its best days were behind it.Also, the hot water heater couldn't keep up with the 4 of us at the end of the day.The house was a good size for our family. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. It was a our first trip to OBX and we liked the quiet location. I think if there had been more beach days we would probably like to be closer to the beach, but for this trip it was a good spot.
