This is our third stay here. Sadly the shortest, as we only stayed one week this time.Kirsten is amazing and punctual with communication.The house is absolutely gorgeous, sunny and private. It is located in the middle of the woods and Damariscotta River. Seals sunbathe and hang out on the rocks during the day and night.We bring our well behaved cats, as pets are welcome (not just dogs as most list). Kirsten is one of the most laid back people we’ve rented from. Always weepy when we leave! And hope we can return soon!

Wonderful place to land for a holiday!Needs only an umbrella on the deck and an updated mattress in the main bedroom to be perfect!

What a beautiful property! We stayed here with our kitties and all had a very relaxing two weeks! It was super quiet, tons of wildlife between the many different bird species and the seals talking from their rocks offshore, it was so nice to be surrounded by nature and also in a modern home! We hope to be back in the future!!

Loved our stay

We loved staying here and kayaking right out front. The dock made it very easy to get in and out. Loved the house, it stayed cool and was well equipped for us to cook and stay comfortably

Wet and beautiful

Although the weather was a little damp the house was warm and cozy. Very close to our favorite lighthouse and Damariscotta is a wonderful little town. Everything was perfect.

Great quiet get-away

My friend and I stayed with our dogs and had the most relaxing time. The house was spacious with lots of light -- and the water views were everything! The house itself had everything we needed and the dock was an added bonus. The location is very close to hiking trails which we explored throughout the week -- and also close to the ferry to Monhegan (and the puffin cruise). We would definitely stay again!

Great Stay

Wonderful holiday!

Lovely home in a beautiful location. Enjoyed the dock, the balcony, the piano, the local hikes, kayaking and local restaurants. Looking forward to returning soon!

Beautiful Cottage and Location

We really enjoyed the peace, quiet and seclusion of this cute, cozy home! Loved the view from the decks - perfect for sunsets! Convenient to several fun villages and loved exploring some of the nearby trails. Comfortable beds! Fully functioning kitchen (and my son is s professional chef!) Definitely recommend!

Comfortable and relaxing

The elevated views of the water are excellent. The ample windows coupled with the skylights made the space bright even on cloudy or rainy days.

Peaceful setting

Becky’s house is a quintessential Maine retreat. We kayaked on the Damariscotta River from our backyard. The village was lovely. We went to an evening movie and a jazz concert and the local library. Perfect vacation spot.

The house was perfect! It was clean and fully loaded with everything we needed and then some! The view was amazing. We absolutely loved watching the seals and getting up close to them and playing hide and seek made my week! Thank you!

Peaceful Hideaway

Wonderful ability to text with owners. Remote in the most positive sense: no noise other than seals, eagles, gulls and Ospreys. Everyone we met became an instant friend. The house is a dream come true for owner; great design

Amazing serene views with seals galore

The house has loads of sunlight. Gorgeous star filled nights. Perfect place to stay for solitude or peace. You can hear all the calls of the loons and herons. Spotted eagles as well. Kirsten is extremely responsive with any question you may have. This was our 2nd 2 week stay.

As advertised. Seals every day on the rocks. Some very good local restuarants -- Best Thai, Publick house (great pies). Hanleys convienence store(pizza and sandwiches) fishermans"s co-op (great fresh seafood)

We enjoyed our week-long stay in mid October and appreciated the ability to bring our two dogs with us on vacation. The home is well designed for comfort and situated for privacy. The kitchen is well appointed for cooking - a relaxing activity for us - and we enjoyed two dinners out in nearby Damariscotta (7 mile drive each way). The Rising Tide Co-Op in Damariscotta has an excellent selection of produce, meats, wine/beer, prepared foods and health/beauty aids. South Bristol Fisherman's Co-op and Osier's Seafood were on our list to explore - but we arrived too late for their full service season. Plummer Point Preserve offers excellent walking trails (just 1 mile south of the house). Views of the inlet and dock were lovely and the clear night sky is so rare. We had great communication with our host Kirsten before and during our stay.

Everything we had hoped for.

As soon as we drove down the private lane and pulled in beside the house and looked around and gazed at the beautiful private setting and the river, we knew we were going to enjoy it...and we did. The well maintained and updated home with the open floor plan and view of the river was perfect. Everything was very clean. We vacation in Maine often and this might be our favorite.

August in S Bristol can't be beat - Becky's place is awesome!

We have been coming to Pemaquid peninsula for many years and this place was one of the best we've stayed at - a real gem. The house is gorgeous, private, views are spectacular, the pictures don't do it justice. Kristen and family were incredibly welcoming and gave us useful list of places to visit, some of which were even new to us. The kitchen was really well stocked, plenty of great linens, any questions answered immediately. I could go on and on, we will definitely be back.
