Dave and Donna were incredible hosts. The location is perfect to get away but also close enough to do fun activities and adventure around. Their property is truly a getaway place and we hope to comeback sometime in the future!

Donna is a wonderful host! This was a great spot to stay and the view that opens up to the lake is breathtaking from sunrise to sunset. Donna was helpful in giving great recommendations, making sure we were well accommodated even during a power outage, and keeping several essentials in the unit from hygiene items to snacks. It was a quiet, peaceful stay with a pleasant host that gave us privacy but was never far away if needed.

Exceptional place to escape to and relax. Super friendly hosts and very accommodating. No shortage of activities or scenes of some of the most beautiful places on earth. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a place not too far from Acadia NP.

Perfect little getaway. The view, the room, the hospitality, you couldn't ask for a better place. The bed is comfortable! That is a definite plus. Forget something from home? They most likely have it. They had "extras" to make you feel at home. My ONLY complaint is We had to leave. Nonetheless we absolutely enjoyed our time at The Loons Nest.

Nice little relaxing place

Good entertainment within about 20 minutes. close to the lake for nice weather activities clean, quiet and the hosts seem to be nice people.

Quiet Getaway....

Absolutely Loved this Place amazing host and so very sweet! We would recommend this place if you just need a Lil get away its perfect location for Bar Harbor and the Acadia National park about 40 min away with plenty of places to eat or pick up a few groceries!! We absolutely Loved everything about it...

Beautiful Lake, Kayaking and Hot Tub

A very helpful host on a very nice lake. We enjoyed a peaceful morning kayak ride and wound down the night in the hot tub when on the property. Otherwise, we spent our days at Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, and then another trip to the Southwest Harbor with the convenient location.

Great hosts and very beautiful place

I just wanted a quiet, private time with my wife and that is exactly what I Got. The views from this property are so beautiful. We truly enjoyed our stay here. There is something magical about the mountains, the lake, and the green trees cover with snow. 🙂🙂🙂

Off the Grid

This is a very quiet Serene property Donner and Dave are excellent hosts! Love the peace and quiet and the lake and lots to do and shopping within an hour away. Don't know if we're special or not but the chocolate chocolate chip cookies or out of this world 👍 see you soon!

Donna and Dave were fantastic hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was all that we were looking for. Their property was immaculate and the lake absolutely gorgeous. We hated to leave. :(

The paradise in Miniatur

Simply a dream. Hosts are wonderfull. The cabin has every think you need. It's a peaceful place for evryone who likes the nature. A tour on the sea with the canoe is definitely a must.

Immaculate place, wonderful location

We loved our stay. Location was wonderful proximity to hiking at Acadia daily. We enjoyed using the hot tub at night after a day of hiking. We ate dinner two nights at Helen’s restaurant portions were huge and dessert so yummy. Donna and Dave have created a relaxing environment and they are available to answer any questions. Rental is clean, tastefully decorated and includes the essentials with lots of thoughtful extras to make your stay enjoyable. .

The peace and quiet your looking for

My sister and I booked this beautiful site for traveling through New England for her birthday. I recommend this spot for any couple or best friends looking to get away for a little peace, quiet and reconnecting. I read a book, had a camp fire, went kayaking. Took gorgeous pictures and even sat in the hottub without having to step off the property. Maines best kept secret

Glamping at its finest!

We had a lovely time at the Loon's Nest. We spent an entire day on the dock and it was spectacular. Just the rest and relaxation my husband and I were looking for. The water is crystal clear, and they have 13 Loon's on the lake. Donna was very responsive with our requests. We had a camp fire every evening, cooked on their grill, and enjoyed the hot tub.

The host(s) were phenomenal. Truly a relaxing get-away. If you prefer a private, quiet, and overall low-key experience I recommend! The room was beautifully decorated, the bathroom was clean and everything in the cabinet was well thought out, the “kitchen” area was adorable and perfect, and the property outside provided an immaculate view- with a super relaxing hot tub! We came during the winter, so we couldn’t explore the lake. However, another trip is in the works so we can enjoy every part! Oh! The cookies they leave out are to DIE for!!!!10000/10

Amazing place and location!

Donna's place was nothing but amazing and awesome! The entire room is so cute and follows the theme of a loon, a bird that lives in the nearby lake. The place is so convenient in terms of location (right on the lake) and the amount of amenities that the property offers is endless (from kayaks to S'mores sticks). Donna and her husband were quick to respond to any questions or requests and delivered unbeatable and the best customer service. If you're ever in the area or exploring Acadia National Park, this is definitely the place to stay in!!!

Donna met us when we arrived . Showed us where everything was located . Gave us some ideas of places to see and eat. It was so peaceful to come back to after a long day in Acadia national park .The hot tub was wonderful to relax. The lake was amazing to wake up to The last night the sky was so clear and nothing but stars . The homemade cookies were delicious. They had snacks ,water, there for you . They really thought of everything to welcome you . We will definitely be staying again.

A little slice of heaven

What a perfect little getaway to Maine. Donna and Dave are the most welcoming hosts. You will feel at home staying here. They have a comfy bed, kayaks to use, hot tub and a bbq. The lake is beautiful and we got to see our very own sunrise from it. It’s about 45 minutes to Acadia but an easy straight ride and local for all that you need. We will come again. Great place to disconnect from the hustle and bustle. Thank you again Donna and Dave.
