Whalecome to the the Knotty Whale! Whale Down (private Lower unit of a duplex) is a four bedroom, two bathroom unit that sleeps 10 comfortably. Between location, size, amenities, and price, you’ll have a hard time finding a better value than this. This unit is located a block from Cherry Grove Beach (currently ranked the 20th best beach in the U.S. by Tripadvisor). Whale Down has a classic beach house vibe but with all the modern upgrades you could ask for. The kitchen has been completely remodeled with new cabinets, stainless steel appliances including a dish washer, granite countertops and a large eat in area. The living room has new vinyl plank floors, 50” smart tv, and a brand new couch. Two bedrooms have 42” smart TV. There's also free highspeed WiFi, central air throughout, and a washer and dryer in an exterior closet (shared between the two units). The large private front porch is perfect for enjoying the sunrise in the morning, or playing cards at night.
Nestled in the heart of Cherry Grove, you’re a block to the beach and a short walk to Sea Mountian Highway where you’ll find everything you’ll need while you’re on vacation (Boulineau's, shops, ice cream, pizza). You’re also a 12 minute walk to the famed Cherry Grove Pier, one of the most famous landmarks around.
Towels and Linens are included in the price. We provide starter pack of toilet paper.
For larger groups-Whale Down can be rented with Whale Up(Similar Upper Unit)-for those looking to travel together but want would like separate spaces.

NO PARTIES/EVENTS ALLOWED-Primary guest must be 25 and present during the entire reservation, Quiet hours 10pm-7am, no unregistered guests/visitors allowed overnight
Maximum Guests: 10, primary guests must register the final guest headcount with owner prior to arrival, if more than maximum guests inadvertently stay at the property a $50/per person/night fee will be applied
There are three charcoal grills available for use outside as a courtesy. Guests are responsible for supplies as well as cleaning the grills. Guests might see landscapers or members of our maintenance team on site during their stay.
