We arrived to an uncleaned unit and were asked to leave for almost 2 hours while they had someone come out to clean but I spoke with Ian who apologized and said they would refund half the night due to the inconvenience. However, they only gave us (4) towels to shower with even though we have (6) guests registered and when we pulled the comforter down to go to sleep later that night … there were black spots of dirt or something on the sheets. Not ok.
There are gnats everywhere, to the extent we had to go out last night and purchase traps. One of the strips in the master bathroom has over 30 gnats stuck to it and they are still covering the mirror.
The AC unit showed it was on 75 degrees when we first arrived so I turned it down to 70 degrees as suggested on the paperwork. Last night, it went up to 76 degrees while we were trying to sleep. We turned it to 72 degrees this morning thinking it needed a little more time to cool off, but now it is showing 79 degrees inside … so I called Ian again to ask for someone to come fix the AC and please bring us towels so we don’t have to share after showering.
Those requests brought out a different side of Ian who made commentary that the guests usually freeze out the a/c unit and we would need to turn it off for two hours and then see if that corrects the issue; otherwise they will charge us for the service trip! When I said, they shouldn’t be charging us; he was RUDE and then proceeded to hang up when I asked to speak with his boss!
