Kick back and relax in this peaceful and stylish log cabin with spectacular mountain views.
Whether you are exploring all the activities the Golden area has to offer, or just escaping the busy life to relax, you can do it all here.
If you are lucky, you might be welcomed by the sounds of howling wolves from the near by Wolf centre, or take a stroll in the backyard to catch a glimpse of the Buffalo grazing behind the fence on the Buffalo Ranch.
About the Place:
Our cabin is a passion project with great attention to detail, recently built by a local carpenter. Douglas Fir wood used on the cabin was sourced and milled locally. Three acres of partially treed land will make sure you get your privacy and mountain experience you are looking for.
It's a short (12 min) drive to the Town of Golden. The cabin is situated in the heart of Blaeberry valley, between the Purcell and Rocky Mountains, in the Rocky Mountain trench. It is strategically located among the 5 National Parks ( Kootenay, Yoho, Banff, Jasper and Glacier). If you are looking for more under the radar wilderness adventures, the Blaeberry River valley has infinite amounts - whether it is self propelled or motorized. Thompson Falls and Mummery glacier are some of the more popular local hikes.
The cabin offers a small kitchen with a sink, a hot plate, toaster, Mini fridge, water Kettle, coffee Maker, basic kitchen ware, oils and spices and a toaster oven on demand. There is BBQ outside as well. The living room has a dining corner with two hand made bar stools, a sofa, a pop up coffee table, and a cozy wood stove. The loft bedroom is accessed by a short staircase (see photos), has a queen bed with bedside table lamps with USB ports. Just a heads up: the loft has a slanted ceiling, so one side has limited headroom (see photo). Cozy full bathroom with a shower, toilet and a sink. You can sip your coffee/tea on the Adirondack chairs on a covered patio, while watching the sunrise over the mountains.
