Niet zoals verwacht

Het huis ligt op een goede lokatie om een bezoek aan Londen te brengen, 10 minuten tot de metro en dan met 30 minuten in centrum stad. Bij aankomst is het steegje waar het huis in staat even wennen, er wordt aan auto's gesleuteld en er waait redelijk wat afval overheen. Het huis is deels gerenoveerd en ziet er op de foto's prachtig uit. In werkelijkheid viel dit wat tegen. Het zitje op het terras mist de tafel, het bankje en de parasol en hier staan nu de vuilnisbakken. Twee van de drie rolluiken zijn kapot en kunnen dus niet geopend worden, wat het erg donker maakt binnen. In de advertentie is er sprake van een afwasmachine en een droger, maar deze waren niet aanwezig tijdens ons verblijf. Het raam boven kan niet afgesloten worden (of is zo open te duwen, omdat de hendel met plamuur is herbevestigd), dit gaf niet direct een veilig gevoel. De badkamer in de kelder is niet verlucht en alles blijft hier dus vochtig. Al met al een plek met veel potentie door de grote en de ligging, alleen matchte wat wij aantroffen niet met de advertentie en niet met deze prijsklasse.

Nice stay, quiet area

Great place to stay next to lots of facilities, very comfortable and spacious. Some things are to replace/repare thow. Would be perfect after!

Awful customer service and little communication. We never actually found the air b and b

The owner never gave us the right directions. We arrived shortly after 3pm. We communicated with the owners that the directions they gave us were wrong and there was no house. It’s very frustrating to arrive at a place hoping to unload and rest after a long day of travel only to not see a house. Yes feel that arrival. No house. Two kids tired ready for nap. And no place to off load the stuff. Now back to the owners, FOUR hours later they got back to us. They messaged around 6pm saying we will call you in an hour. Nothing else. Their description was something about a black fence and go down an alley. We never did find it and wound up paying for this and a hotel. Things to note: There is no visible location from the street. So if you want simple this is not your location If you are traveling with kids this is not your location. If you want good communication this is not your location. To be honest I have never left a bad review in my life. But I wanted to stop any family from going here. If it was dark it would have been even worse. During our 4 hour wait for them to get back to us we did the best we could but we needed to unload our stuff and get our kids to bed soon. So please don’t stay here unless the communication is improved. Sending good vibes to the owners that they figure this out. And great vibes to those who give them a chance.

Woolrich stay

We decided on using a vrbo stay for our vacation in London with 5 adults. We appreciated the space of this unit. It was clean and allowed us to cook breakfast each day. They have recently renovated the unit. We always had responses to our messages and they did check on us to make sure we were comfortable which was appreciated however we did have some major issues during our stay. 1) we rely on Wi-Fi to communicate with family in the states since our cell phones do not work in UK. The internet did not work the whole 6 days. It was extremely frustrating. The owner talked to BT but the problem was never resolved. Without internet, the television didn’t because it was a smart tv. The solution was a 3 day hotspot voucher to use in the city however there were no hotspot city connections near the house and were useless 2) the house is VERY hard to find. It’s down a sketchy alley with broken cars, trash, and felt unsafe. The outdoor patio picture was very misleading. We had a fox screaming outside the unit & running along the fences so we were afraid to leave the windows open for fear of it getting inside. 3) we mentioned to the owners that the upstairs shower was clogged & flooded the bathroom. It was never fixed in 6 days. 4) it was very hot in the unit, didn’t have any fans or air and was unbearable. 5) it was not close to the tube. It was 15 min walk uphill from woolrich stop. We would not rent again and wish we would’ve been in a hotel closer to city center.

Great place to stay!

This was a great spot for us coming into town for the Marathon. Close to race start and to public transit to be able to maneuver around the city as needed. Place was well stocked and and easy to check in and out. The entry into the property is a bit awkward as you go through a gate and walk down a gravel driveway about a hundred meters from the road which would have been good to know ahead of time, but once we figured this out it was fine. Would definitely consider staying here again.
