Heading upstairs you’ll find three comfortable bedrooms. The master suite is generously sized and features a study nook overlooking the trees. It benefits from a walk-in wardrobe leading through to a private ensuite bathroom replete with a bathtub and rain shower. Each of the two remaining bedrooms contain a queen-sized bed, set with side tables and reading lights. Lake Wendouree is a charming suburb of Ballarat, less than five minutes’ drive from the CBD. Its namesake lake is a popular spot for fishing, sailing, and rowing, and is home to running and cycling trails, picnic spots and playgrounds. In central Ballarat, wander down Lydiard and Camps streets to take in the area’s spectacular Victorian architecture. Visit Sovereign Hill for a taste of the 1850s gold-rush era and discover one of the country’s best regional galleries at Art Gallery of Ballarat. Get caffeinated at L’espresso, brunch at Fika Coffee Brewers, sit down to high tea at Craig’s Royal Hotel and sample local drops at Mitchell Harris Wines. Stock up on fresh produce at the Ballarat Farmers Market, held on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month.
