About the home

“Island Blessing” is a delightful single-storey family home in central Cowes just a comfortable walk from the beach and supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

The large central open plan Living/Dining/Kitchen (with TV & chromecast) is a great place to relax and provides access to all other rooms in the house. All 3 bedrooms have hanging racks, the bathroom (with shower over bath & toilet) is also accessible from Bedroom 1. Finally, a large separate fully equipped laundry (converted garage, with washing machine & clothes dryer).

Outdoor Areas

The front covered verandah (with bench seating) provides access into the home, while the rear entertaining area features table & chairs for up to 8 people, and a gas BBQ and overlooks the enclosed block - perfect for children. There is space to park one car in the driveway, plus space for a second vehicle (car or boat) on the grass next to the driveway.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster, Aldi pod coffee machine, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, electric oven and gas cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There is a wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioner in the Living/Kitchen/Dining room, wall mounted electric heating in all bedrooms, plus three additional stand-alone fans which can be used where required.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 7 beds, accommodating up to 9 guests:

Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: One Tri-bunk
Bedroom 3: Two sets of Single bunks

Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
