Centrally located between the townships of Woombye and Palmwoods. The local area has a proud farming history and is home to icons such as Woombye Cheese, Diablo Ginger Beer, and Sunshine and Son's Distillery. Woombye and Palmwoods' main streets are only a few minutes away offering bakeries, butchers, supermarket and plenty of gift, café, takeaway and dining options, such as the famous Rick's Garage and Bakery, Country Pubs offering courtesy buses, PiggyBack Asian Restaurant and Margherita Pizza, to name a few.

Avalon Cottage is located a 20min drive to world famous Mooloolaba Beach and boutique shopping, 10min to the hinterland gem, Montville village with waterfalls, award-winning restaurants and eclectic shops, or travel on a further 15min to Maleny, renowned for its lush rolling hills and postcard dairy country. Head north 30 minutes to one of Australia's most popular beachside destinations, Noosa, home to the iconic Hastings Street, explore spectacular scenery around this chic coastal town.
