Keepers Cottages are delighted to present The Cove, a delightful two bedroom cottage on Farrier Street, in the heart of the conservation area, just seconds from the High Street and the seafront. The Nook has been lovingly restored, whilst retaining many original features including exposed beams and brickwork. Arranged over four floors, this home has been designed to provide a relaxing and cosy space. The lower ground floor has a lovely kitchen room with a stable door out to a small courtyard garden. Upstairs you will find two comfortable and tastefully decorated bedrooms and one large family bathroom. The Nook would be ideally suited to a couple or a small family with young children and is a perfectly located, self-catering holiday home.

Direct access through the front door on Farrier Street into the sitting room.

Reception room

Step through the front door and into a beautiful cosy sitting room with a log burner, attractive lighting and a choice of comfortable seating. There is an exposed brickwork chimney breast surrounding the working log burner, perfect for cosy winter evenings. The thoughtfully arranged sitting room is the ideal space to sit and relax after a day at the beach.

Lower ground floor kitchen / dining area

A well-equipped kitchen with fitted cupboards and everything you may need to prepare meals during your stay. There is a modern cooker with an electric hob and oven, fridge, dishwasher and a sink. There is a small window and a door out to the courtyard garden. Dining table and chairs to seat four guests.

A door leads directly from the kitchen / dining room to the small enclosed courtyard garden.

First floor

Double bedroom

Up the carpeted stairs is a good size double bedroom sleeping two people comfortably. There is a built in wardrobe with a mirror. The bedroom has a decorative bedside light and bedside table. This bedroom has views out onto the idyllic Farrier Street and the high street.

A large family bathroom with a large walk in shower, WC and hand basin.

Master Bedroom

Up another small set of stairs leads to a very comfortable and large master bedroom with bedside tables, decorative lighting, wardrobes and a chest.

A characterful cottage in an excellent location

We had a great stay at the Cove. The cottage is comfortable, beautifully decorated and has bags of charm. The stairs are not ideal for v young children or those with mobility issues but the cottage suited us perfectly. Its location is excellent with the seafront at one end of the street and the high street (and Saturday market) at the other. Deal is a lovely town to explore with lots of great places to eat and drink. No car is needed - we took the train to Sandwich and bus to Dover castle for fascinating history packed days out. Highly recommended all round!

Deal delight

The Cove was delightful and perfectly placed to enjoy the town, seafront, pier and historic sights. WE had a comfortable stay and would certainly go back again. Two constructive criticisms though 1)please provide instructions on how to use appliances, we had particular problems with the television and understanding the cooker. 2)Maybe install some handrails as the stairs are very steep. These points did not, in any way, detract from our lovely stay

Great location, cute house, but room for improvement.

We had a lovely stay at The Cove and would return, mostly thanks to its location. The house is on the better end of town and near lovely little shops and of course, the beach. It has been decorated very nicely and it was nice to receive the welcome bag. Constructive feedback would be to clean the garden prior to guests arriving – there is a pigeon issue, which meant the garden and garden furniture was covered in bird poo. A quick wipe-down would have helped. There was also an old fire surround, which seems to be waiting to be removed. The garden could be made really nice with a few small changes. We also felt there were a lot of cables lying around, which had an older group, or people with children, been staying, could have been a trip-hazard. We also agreed that whilst we found them charming, the narrow stairs would be an issue for anyone less physically able or carrying a baby, so should probably be flagged on the description. Overall though we had a lovely stay and think the house could be made to be really impressive quite easily! Thanks for having us.

Lovely cottage, great location

Family of 3 who have visited Deal many times. We had a wonderful week's stay in the cottage, which was beautifully decorated and equipped with everything that you need for a lovely, relaxing stay. Communication with Keepers Cottages was great and we really enjoyed our stay. We loved being just moments from the Beach, all the lovely shops and the supermarket was very close by too.
