Tequila Sunrise is a charming classic cottage on beautiful Pickerel Lake that is 30 min north of Huntsville. This spacious tree-lotted backyard has stunning views of the lake. We provide 2 kayaks, 1 paddle board, 1 peddle boat, and a few floaties, or bring up your own water toys and enjoy time on the lake with easy access to the water from our 50ft dock. You are more than welcome to use our dock for your own boat, and there is a public boat launch on Pickerel Lake just a few minutes away. Shallow entry from lakeshore will ensure a wonderful vacation for families with small children or pets. There is also a public beach on Pickerel Lake that has a shallow entrance into the water, which would be great for a fun afternoon with the kids. From the cottage, you can step onto a new wrap around deck, which also has great views of the lake. Tequila sunrise can sleep up to 8 people as it has 1 queen bed, 1 double, and 2 twin beds. The main living room has a sleeper sofa for extra sleeping space. This cottage has newly installed vinyl plank flooring throughout the whole cottage to make it pet friendly! There are indoor and outdoor games provided to make fun memories that will last forever!

We have a security camera on the woodshed to view cars coming in and out of the cottage as we have cleaners and deliveries throughout the summer. The camera can only view from the side door of the garage to the driveway. the camera can not see the firepit or the cottage.

don't trust the photos.

the grade from the cottage to the water was misleading in the photos, the grade was too steep for me to negotiate down to the water. when you get to the shore there was a concerning organic slick similar to something out of a septic tank floating around by the dock in the weeds. the shoreline was not appealing at all.

Relaxing family spot

Our family loved the time at Cathy’s cottage. The flow of the house was wonderful and gave you a lovely view of the lake from many angles. We spent most of our time hanging out on the dock with the many water toys available and appreciating the quiet/listening to loons. The house was clean and comfy with everything you might need. What a wonderful place to get away.

Cozy Little Cottage With Great Waterfront Views/Fishing

We had a lovely long weekend in this cozy cottage. The lake views are gorgeous. Nice shallow entry for swimming, kayaking and paddle boat. Unfortunately the weather was uncooperative so swimming wasn't possible but the water activities made up for it. Beds were comfy and the cottage itself was nice and clean. Cathy the host was fabulous and went above and beyond in answering any questions I had. Directions were easy to follow. Would definitely recommend this cottage for a nice little family getaway. A perfect getaway

The perfect place to get away from the rat race and relax. Cottage is great! Clean, well laid out, and with enough space so you aren’t tripping over each other if everyone is indoors. Lake and water activities were so much fun (kayak, fishing, swimming, and a little adventure around the lake). Bit of a leg work out to get back up to the cottage but we’ll worth it! Highly recommended ❤️
