Lattice House er den ultimate tropiske villaen. Ligger i en 60 mål stor privat reserve, 3 minutter over vakre Playa Hermosa, omgitt av jungel, og du vil nyte spektakulær utsikt over havet fra alle rom, dekk og evighetsbassenget.

Nyt den unike moderne Bali-arkitekturen, og spesialdesignede finish og møbler, alt importert fra Bali. Lattice House ble bygget og har blitt kjærlig vedlikeholdt som mitt hjem, og du vil føle deg som om det er ditt eget private paradis for ditt opphold.

Du vil ha en manager / concierge på stedet og en kokk på stedet som kan ta seg av bakketransport, aktiviteter, måltider og restaurantreservasjoner, slik at du kan bruke all din tid på å bare slappe av og nyte oppholdet.

Lattice House ligger praktisk til halvveis mellom Dominical og Uvita, rett utenfor kystveien. Du trenger ikke å bruke din verdifulle ferietid på å kjøre opp og ned fjellveier for å nyte fantastisk utsikt og privatliv. Reservatet omfatter store parklignende områder, frukthager og jungel, med stier som fører til mange bekker og fosser. I alle retninger ser du bare hvite vann kystlinje, fjell eller regnskog. På en gitt dag kan du se og høre hylende aper, hvite ansikter, coatie, tayras, agouties, dovendyr, tukaner, aracaries, kolibrier, papegøyer og dusinvis av andre fuglearter, alt fra husdekk.
Lattice House er et fantastisk sted, og jeg er glad for å dele det med våre gjester.

Hovedsoverommet soverommet, ett dronning soverom og to fulle bad er på hovednivå; to soverom (en dronning, to tvillinger eller en konge) og et komplett bad er på lavere nivå. Det er to sofaer i stuen som kan brukes som ekstra senger.

Lattice House har alle fasiliteter du forventer i et luksuriøst hjem og mye mer: delvis tildekket total evighetsbasseng med oppvarmet boblebad; fire dekket terrasser og dekk; klimaanlegg på alle soverom; skifer og marmorgulv og bad; gitterarbeid og hardved fra Bali; utendørs master bad med kobber soaking badekar; underetasje med dusjkabinett i underetasjen; kobber og stein vasker; fullt utstyrt, rustfritt stål kjøkken; vakre møbler, kunstverk og tilbehør.

A beautiful house with an unbeatable view in a great location, within 10 minutes of both Dominical and Uvita. Ana was very welcoming and available for any questions prior to and during our trip. Would highly recommend staying here for your trip to Costa Rica!

This is an amazing house and property. Being able to stay on 70 acres of a private jungle retreat was an incredible experience. Just taking a walk on the property was a highlight of the trip. Not only that but the road was well maintained, the house was comfortable and well equipped, and the location was convenient to beaches, restaurants, and tours. The concierge made sure that we had everything we needed. For example, they came to the house to help us figure out how to watch the work cup on the TV. I highly recommend this property. You will have an amazing vacation, something you will never get from a resort or VRBO on a smaller property.

Just got back from a week at Lattice House with the whole family and we're honestly still talking about it. The photos don't oversell it. If anything they undersell it.You get ocean views from basically everywhere, but that pool is the thing. The infinity edge lines up so the water falls right off into the bay, and you end up staring at the crescent of beach curling toward the point way longer than you mean to. I'd head out with my coffee for five minutes and look up forty-five minutes later. Dark tile, mirror-flat in the mornings, warm enough that the kids basically lived in it.The house doesn't read like a rental. It's more like staying in someone's gorgeous home that they happen to be letting you borrow. Ana runs things onsite and kind of made the trip for us. Transportation, activities, dinner reservations, all of it, and never once made it feel like a hassle to ask.It sits inside a private reserve, so it's quiet and green, and every so often some wildlife wanders right up to the deck. You're tucked into the jungle but the whole coastline opens up in front of you.If you want privacy, comfort, and a view that'll ruin other vacations for you, this is the one. We'll be back.

Book this property! It is exactly as described, if not better. You could spend a week here just to explore/enjoy the property and grounds alone. We completely wished we had more time and would 1000% book here again (and hope to!). We had prepared food delivered to the house by the suggested chef and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. It was so convenient to have home made food available when we arrived so that we could just enjoy the property after a long day of travel. We ordered the passionfruit pie based on other reviews and absolutely can confirm that it is a must order! Ana, the concierge, is absolutely fantastic and so incredibly helpful. We had a flight snafu VERY last minute our last day and Ana helped us re-arrange our driver to SJO for a very early AM pick-up in a matter of hours. She is truly a lifesaver. Highly recommend the massage service too. It was so amazing to listen to the wildlife and the waves crashing while enjoying a massage off the primary bedroom balcony. We did not see any furry creatures during our stay ( we did HEAR the monkeys though) but we saw many toucans, many other various birds, and even some red macaws. The serenity, privacy, and views are truly incredible with only a VERY short drive to the beach, markets, restaurants, etc. This is the most well-appointed rental home we have ever rented. No detail overlooked! Thank you, Patricia & Ana!

We had an absolutely wonderful 7-day stay here in May 2026. The property was so nice, we spent many days just enjoying the pool and seeing animals right from the deck. It was a good home base for a few adventures as well, and the area was wild and beautiful jungle that we were constantly in awe of. Ana the concierge was a great help in setting up a car rental delivered to the house, massages by the pool, adventures in the area, and some of the best chef services we've enjoyed on vacation from Chef Koko. An absolute must to have him prepare one of his local dishes while you watch the sunset over the beach. House, location, staff, privacy - all five stars, could not have been better. If you're looking for paradise, this really might be it. We can't wait to come back.

This is easily the nicest place I've ever stayed, hotel or otherwise. The house is about 1/4 mile up a beautifully landscaped driveway behind a gated entrance. The house itself lived up to the photos.There were six in my party, and everyone slept very comfortably in one of the four air-conditioned bedrooms. During the day we opened all of the sliding doors. The main part of the house and the patio/pool area provide enough room for everyone to spread out.The kitchen is very well appointed, and we had everything we needed to prepare several of our own meals. There are grocery stores nearby in Uvita and Dominical if you choose to cook for yourself.We also bought the services of Chef Mayron for breakfast and dinner of two of the days. Chef Mayron and Harold prepare full meals that were fantastic. When they are done, they clean up everything to the point you can't tell they were ever there. Don't do what we did by trying to finish everything in one sitting and you'll have plenty of leftovers, too.We can't say enough about Ana, the concierge. Ana lives close by and is very responsive to questions and requests. Ana also took care of setting up airport and hotel transportation on both ends of the trip. She also arranged for a rental vehicle that was delivered to the house the first morning after we arrived.Lastly, Patricia, the owner, was very prompt and responsive from the beginning of the rental process. 100% we would visit again!

The house was truly amazing! Great view of the ocean, many birds and lizards. Main areas open to the outside light and airy. Bedrooms with a/c comfortable at night. The concierge , Ana , arranged transportation, excursions, meals, maid service all flawlessly.

The property was absolutely beautiful! When we weren't exploring Costa Rica and going on excursions, we were hanging out in the pool watching the wildlife around us, grilling out, taking walks along the property and just loving our time at Lattice House! I can't recommend this property enough!

We loved this house. Absolutely beautiful! The grounds were meticulously maintained. We saw monkeys, Macaws, Toucans, javelinas, coatis, capybaras, and so many fabulous birds. The views are breathtaking. You feel like you are at your own private resort. Ana, the concierge is the best. She is so helpful and makes the stay so easy. I would recommend this home to anyone. AMAZING!

A truly relaxing vacation with kids--yes, it's possible. Ana made everything a breeze, the house is well appointed, and primely positioned to take advantage of everything the south of Costa Rica has to offer. We'll be back :)

The Lattice house was amazing and the view is beautiful/hermosa! We loved being there and enjoying the two Macaws that came to visit us daily. It is a beautiful location- we love Dominical. Alturas wildlife refuge was so educational and wonderful to learn about the animals of CR-plus the fee to tour it goes directly to the care of the animals there. Rainmaker park in Quepos is also a great park for hiking with many suspended bridges. Angie and Allen did a great job making sure we were taken care of while there!

What an amazing home, or should I say estate! Staying here was like being invited into a private resort. Whatever you could want is there for you, the views are breathtaking, and the nature is everywhere. Just while relaxing at the pool, we saw scarlet macaws and all sorts of other birds, monkeys, and coatis in the trees, as well as huge lizards and great curassows scurrying through the grass. And we woke almost daily to the roar of howlers monkeys. The master bedroom opens onto a huge deck surrounded by trees, with a copper tub and outdoor shower. Gorgeous and well stocked kitchen too! Working with the owner Pat and property concierge Ana could literally not have been easier, more promp, or more delightful. Their area suggestions and the arrangements they made for us were perfect. We especially enjoyed the guide they chose for us for Manuel Antonio NP, how knowledgeable and skilled he was. I've posted a few of the images he snapped for us through his scope. (Two of the pictures are the scarlet macaw we saw at the property, and a sunset we experienced in Uvita, the others are by the Manuel Antonio guide.) Enjoy.

I can't say enough good things about Lattice house. It made for a relaxing and memorable stay. I don't need to describe it - you can see for yourself how beautiful it is. I'll just talk about things that are less obvious.For starters, the accuracy of the pictures and descriptions is excellent. In fact, everything is even better in person. That often isn't the case in rental situations. Also, the kitchen is probably the best stocked I've ever seen in terms of the availability and quality of cookware, utensils, leftover storage bins, pans, etc. It was so easy to cook meals.I slept in the main bedroom and the bed was so comfortable. I slept great every night.Communication with the owner, Patricia, and the concierge, Ana, were phenomenal and easy. They were great resources and very helpful at every stage.Everything is so thoughtfully done, from the extra binoculars to the beach equipment in the garage, to plenty of flashlights, to umbrellas. It was one of our best vacations.

Perfection!

This property was even better than expected! Our family of seven, ranging in age from 11 - 78 years old, used this as our home base to explore the area, from Manuel Antonio down to Uvita. We fished, walked the whale tail, hiked Nauyaca Falls, and explored beaches, and the Lattice House location was perfect! We also spent alot of time at the property, between exploring the orchard, watching wildlife that visited each day, and relaxing in the pool and hot tub area, with beautiful ocean views. The house is extremely well-stocked and the property manager, Ana, is quick to respond to any questions and provide recommendations for the area. I would 10/10 return to Lattice House!

A Once in a Lifetime Trip

As soon as we turned off the road and passed through the property gate I knew this was a special place. Winding through manicured grounds, orchards, and tropical plants, one gets the impression that something exceptional is about to happen. The house, though well appointed and fully functional, is just a backdrop to the fabulous property on a 65-acre private nature preserve. While the more adventuresome young folks hiked to the waterfall nothing was lost on those who just wanted to sit by the pool, enjoy the scenery, and watch the native birds, animals, and reptiles who had free range of the property. We took several wildlife tours but other than sloths and crocodiles didn’t see much that we weren’t able to experience at the house (and without the crowds)!The house manager, Ana, was fabulous and she and her staff were very responsive to minor issues. She recommended activities and made the arrangements, had a rental car delivered, and was constantly in touch. We had Chef Koko prepare several meals and he and they were great (get the passionfruit pie!).The property is located 10-15 minutes from two small towns, Dominical and Uvita. There are great restaurants close by, and the kids enjoyed taking surfing lessons. This is a once in a lifetime kind of experience-DO IT!

Your comments have captured a lot of what makes Lattice House special. As the habitats in the area have shrunk, we are delighted that the incredible wildlife continues to migrate to the property. With only two houses on the property and the surrounding protected areas, the animals and birds clearly feel protected and at home. We are so glad to provide that, and happy that our guests can share that part of the Costa Rica experience. Thank you again for sharing.

The most beautiful property!

You will never stay anywhere more beautiful! It is your own paradise. The house is perfect. Ana, the concierge, is so welcoming and helpful. She helped us plan everything we did and answered our many questions. Being able to rely on Ana's help, not having to research every detail was a true vacation!

My late husband and I purchased the property in 2000, and finished our retirement home in 2007. We loved the whole 3 year process of working with the Costa Rican and Balinese architects and designers and overseeing the building of our dream home. We originally planned to live there full-time, but that was before 15 grandchildren came along, and we decided to split time between Costa Rica and Houston/Galveston. Unfortunately, he did not live long after Lattice House was completed, and I decided to spend more time at my home in Galveston, near family and friends, and to share my home in Costa Rica with others who will love it as much as I do. I still get to spend about 3 months a year there--mostly in the summer when I can escape the Texas heat! I have wonderful friends there and treasure every minute I am there. We have wonderful times---hiking, swimming, boogie boarding, bird watching, and sharing wonder meals at home and in local restaurants. The picture is from a dinner at Lattice House on my trip last summer--me in the middle rear, surrounded by some of my closest Costa Rican friends who are fortunate to be full-timers, and Michael McCoy, second from the right front, from Bali, who was the primary designer and who continues to send new furnishings. Since that picture, he has had made for me beautiful new coconut dining chairs. Lattice House and Reserva de Achiote are my love, and all the rental income goes to its upkeep and improvement.

My husband and I wanted to retire to the tropics and in the early 90's started looking in Costa Rica. We loved the idea that it was so democratic and had no army. The first place we visited in 1993 was Dominical, but at that time there was no paved road from Jaco, and we decided it was just too remote for our later years. We looked all over CR, and by the time we decided no place was as beautiful as the southern Pacific coast, the road had been paved to Quepos and there were a few crucial amenities. We spent 3 years looking at property and finally in 2000 found Achiote, the most beautiful, accessible, and private property in the area. I retired in 2005, and the next day we were on a plane to our paradise.
