You cannot beat this view. Amazing! And the cabin is very secluded with tons of woods for exploring. Will definitely go back!

We had a wonderful anniversary trip. Rick is a wonderful host. The cabin was clean and THE VIEW! A picture really can’t capture the beauty. We look forward to returning soon.

Very secluded and private with incredible views. Some may find the road up difficult but my 4Runner had no issues though a vehicle with minimal ground clearance probably wouldn't make it up safely. Great stay for a couples getaway.

Beautiful cabin, perfect for a couples getaway. It was well stocked and very comfortable. We had a short stay but would love to comeback.

In all the places I have rented through out the years I have never set in a hot tub, (a really nice one) and looked out over the mountains. The view is magnificent! The cabin has everything you need. We cooked and even made a peach pie there. (we did bring our own pie pan and ingredients) the kitchen is real and fully equipped. It’s pretty darn magic place and Rick was only a text away to answer all our questions.

It was clean and very quiet. The view was amazing. Close to the parkway and small cafes. We saw deer in the mornings passing by, below the deck. Very nice getaway. This was a full moon picture

Great mountain getaway

Comfortable cabin with an awesome view... we loved being in the hot tub taking in the scenery or just sitting on the deck listening to the quiet and watching the sun go down. The cabin has a good selection of books and a great table for puzzles. There is some good eating in the village nearby. Our car made it up the hill just fine, but lower riding cars might have some issues.

Little slice of Heaven

Peaceful, secluded, absolutely perfect. Has all of the modern amenities, wifi, TVs in living room and bedroom. I only mention those things cause they are there, but you will find yourself enjoying just sitting on the back porch, probably the most relaxing little cabin. 10/10

Little Switzerland Cabin

My husband and I had a lovely stay in Little Switzerland. It was great meeting the owner Rick at the post office because it would have been kinda tricky to find the house without an escort. The view and peaceful setting were spectacular. House is super clean and perfect for a couple. There were tons of nice fluffy towels and washcloths. I always hate it when there aren’t ample washcloths! The hot tub is very clean and we enjoyed it on our last night. For your planning purposes: I did not find coffee but there is a coffee pot. Walmart is about 5 miles away but it takes longer to get there than you would expect. I would bring snacks to enjoy with the bottle of wine Rick greets you with. I would also bring my own pillow as I prefer 2 and a cozy blanket for hanging out on the porch enjoying the sunrise and sunset. Highly recommend this property!

Ruined honeymoon

We booked this place for the view, as I imagine most do. The view is lovely and that is about all that was good. You have to plan out your check in day around meeting the host, which is odd as most places have a number code entry. He then takes you on an extended, unnecessary tour that wastes your precious time. On top of this, there was no water pressure when we arrive, back doors do not lock, and 2 of 4 heaters did not work. It was quite cold when we arrived as well. We contacted the host to come fix the water, which he tried to do but was unsuccessful. We did not want to spend our honeymoon evening with a stranger so we requested the water to be fixed the following day. We had our first evening ruined as we hiked all day and wanted to shower to head out for the evening, but we unable to do so. The drive to the house is not the most pleasant so do be aware. It is a very mountain style, one lane road. Due to the inconveniences we had our first night, we asked for a partial refund and have been denied by the host. Be catious with this property and contact VRBO immediately with concerns. Use the app to communicate as well, not his cell. Do note, there is a health and safety ticket against this property with VRBO as well.

Tyler First of all I Emailed the check in details when you confirmed your reservation. None of previous clients have had an issue with the road. A lot of my clients drive Smaller compact vehicles and have no problem with the road. The swells are in place to prevent road water damage during rain storms. You texted me at October 5 at 5:46 Pm shortly after you checked in informing me of low water pressure. I returned and changed the filter. There must have been additional sediment in line You were back in touch 7:27 pm informing me the pressure was still low. I was ready to head back up to put another filter on down in the basement a 5 minute job that would have not disturbed you. You declined that was your choice. Sorry under these circumstances a refund is not warranted.

Gorgeous cabin, beautiful view

The view from the deck was amazing. The cabin was perfect. We definitely want to visit again. We also thought it was neat that they provided the means to separate trash, recycling, and compost during our stay.

Respite from the heat and “city”

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Pinewoods Cabin. The view was spectacular and the cabin had everything we needed to relax. Rick was easy to communicate with and available if anything came up. We loved the proximity of Little Switzerland and the Blueridge Parkway.

Beautiful views

The house was nice and the views were beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub and there was plenty of towels and wash cloths. It was a very positive experience. We had to meet the person at the local post office and follow them to the house. Not a big deal but we first were not going to be arriving until late the first night and felt odd about having to do this so we took off earlier than planned. That being said, when we plan weekend get aways we want to be able to stop and go as we please. It may not have been a big deal for them to meet us late but I personally like being able to just receive a key or key code and arrive when we want.

Great Private Getaway!

My husband and I traveled here on our anniversary and this cabin was perfect! Very private with a great view! We absolutely love Little Switzerland and will keep this place on our list!! It was just as described ~ very clean and definitely comfortable!! Also centrally located to all we planned to do!! The only advice I have for the owners is to get better lighting in at least one of the bathrooms ~ while it’s awesome mood lighting it’s hard to see to get ready (especially for the ladies). I carried a lighted mirror with me so I managed! Thanks for a great vacation!!♥️

Hidden Gem Hideaway

Gorgeous views from the deck of this property! We enjoyed being tucked in to the side of the mountain on a dead end road! The house had everything we needed and offered spectacular views both day and night! Rick was an excellent host and communicator. We really enjoyed the hot tub after hiking and exploring the area! We would definitely return!
