The place was spotless, well provisioned and as cozy and wonderful as the pictures depict it. I hosted a retreat with 9 guys and we had all the room in the world to spread out. I would not hesitate in the least to do a family reunion there and may very well return for our next retreat. It’s clear the owners take a great deal of pride in this property. Communication was prompt. Home run on all accounts.

A beautiful spot

This house was amazing. There are so many outdoor spaces to hang out in with a beautiful view of the lake. We rented a boat that was delivered directly to the boat house from a company recommended by the owners. The owners were responsive and committed to making our stay a great one. Our bed was comfortable and the kitchen and basement had fun amenities like a beverage fridge, an ice maker, a kegerator and a bar, pool table and theatre room. We had 7 teens and 7 adults and everyone had enough space. Thanks for making it a great place to stay!

This is the second time we have stayed at this house for girls weekend. We have been doing this annually for twenty years and this is the only house we have stayed at twice! Just an amazing place!

Great Lake house

Second time our group has stayed here. It’s a spacious home, kitchen well stocked, and the outdoor space is perfect for young and older kids. We love the beach area the most! Our kids play all day and then we have movie nights and smores by the fire.

Wonderful, fun filled family vacation.

Beautiful home and property with all the amenities. We rented a boat from Boato which was delivered and enjoyed that convenience. Boato was very easy to work with and the boat was great and met all our needs. Kids and adults enjoyed the private beach with floating tubes and paddle boards. Large grassy area was great for the kids to burn off more energy before retiring to watch a family movie in the theater. Lord of the Rings was a great addition according to the older kids. We stopped at Callie Opies Orchard for Brunch before checking in and had an awesome meal. Highly recommend. Food Lion is close enough for a quick trip to the store for last minute essentials. Booking directly through Knot Loggin' Inn was easy and the guide book was very helpful. The owners are easy to communicate with and respond quickly if needed for any questions.

Incredible piece of property. Extremely tidy home. Plenty to do outdoors. Easy to relax and unplug. One of the only rentals Ive had where it felt like the hosts actually wanted you to stay and enjoy their accommodations. Family had a wonderful time; we will absolutely be returning.

A magical experience for all from the 3 year old to the 75 year old.

What a beautiful property. From the moment you approach down the drive you can feel yourself start to relax. Once inside the hospitality of the house is apparent with so many amenities. The little ones loved the beach and everyone loved the theater room. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for our big family and enough TVs that everyone got to watch their favorite football game. Tubing right out in front was great and having the paddle boards was an added benefit. The guide that was provided with all the details about the house and area was very helpful. We had Brunch at Callie Opies Orchard which was excellent and I highly recommend. Had to contact the owners on a Sunday for a very minor issue and they were immediately responsive. Our plans are return next summer for a longer stay.

This house was exactly as pictured and exceeded expectations. The kitchen is fully stocked. The towels were fluffy and soft. The beds were comfortable. The kids loved sleeping in the bunk bed. There were so many outdoor sitting areas. We need to go back to use them all. Lake Anna was beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay. Don’t hesitate to book this house!

What a magical week!

Knot Loggin' Inn is such an incredible place. My family loved the beautiful house, but the real stunner is the outdoors. The 3 different stations: the beach, the dock, and the boathouse, made it so easy for the kids (and grown ups!) to spend their days just bopping from one to the other for fishing, swimming, and paddling around. We also LOVED the movie theater -- we had many movie nights and it was also a cool place to relax on the hottest afternoons. The deck was wonderful, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was spacious and well appointed. Beyond the house, we took excursions to Luray Caverns, Monticello, and the Lake Anna boardwalk, which were all great. The Key Lime Covelada and crab legs at The Cove were so good, we went two days in a row. We made so many lovely memories and we will definitely be back!

Beautiful lake house property

Our two sons and families (6 adults and 5 kids) stayed here June 22-29. Absolutely beautiful house with views of the lake. Nicely landscaped property. Adults spent each morning with coffee at the dock area, while the kids slowly came back to life. Loved the small beach area. Kids used the paddle boards and played the water for hours. It was a VERY hot week, but spent a lot of time swimming and fishing. The theater room inside the house was great for movies and video games. We had a great time and would rent this property again in a heartbeat.

A charming property with everything thought out so perfectly. My son in law loved the labels on the light switches, and the family loved the theater room as it rained 4 out of our 7 days there. It was really the perfect get away spot for our family. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen fantastic and the outside seating areas gave us lots of choices.

Lovin' the loggin'

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Knot Loggin' Inn. The property is amazing, and was perfect for our group of friends with young kiddos (between 2-7yrs old). From exploring the property, to playing on the play set, to afternoon matinees in the movie room, we had everything we needed to keep our little ones occupied while also squeezing in relaxing moments for the grown-ups. Our hosts were super communicative, easy to work with and the house is full of their thoughtful touches. Highly recommend!

Great family property

Great property for family gatherings. Everything was exactly as advertised. There are multiple places outside and inside to gather providing enough space for the whole group or solitude. We enjoyed the dock for fishing, paddle boards at the beach, the fire pit, boating from the boat house, hammocks and theater room. Our entire family enjoyed this property. We will be returning renters.

Beautiful Cabin with thoughtful touches

Memory updated Here’s a refined version of your review: We stayed at this cabin as a large group of girls for a getaway weekend, and overall, our experience was exceptional. From the start, the communication with Mike and Kevin was excellent. They provided thorough and timely information at every step, which was incredibly helpful when coordinating with a big group. The printed checkout directions in the kitchen were especially appreciated, allowing some of our group to leave early without disturbing the rest of us. The cabin itself felt like a luxury hotel. The mattresses were incredibly comfortable—definitely not the usual worn-out ones you sometimes find in rentals. The sheets were soft, and the pillows were of high quality, adding to the overall comfort. One thing to note is that the cabin is located at the northernmost part of the lake, so most activities and attractions are about a 20-minute drive away. While the cabin is undoubtedly high-end, the surrounding area doesn’t quite match the level of luxury inside the house. If I were to stay here again, I’d plan for a cozy winter retreat where we could relax and enjoy the stunning views from the house all weekend, but I would skip venturing out to any surrounding restaurants or attractions.

Knott Loggin Inn a Great Lake house!

Ten of us spent a week at the Lake House, it was perfect! We were referred by friends who have stayed there twice and are so happy we took their recommendation. The guide book was extremely helpful before during and after our stay. House is perfect. In a perfect location and met all our needs. I never figured out the home audio system, but that was probably my technological challenges. We plan to stay again…it was just an ideal retreat. Thanks!!!
