Nice , clean, quiet vacation

Reviewer Comments: This cottage is perfect if you want a very quiet and relaxing vacation. You don't even need to get in your car all week. The beach, liquor store, cafe and JT's restaurant are all probably within 1/4 mile walk. This place is ideal for a couple or family with elementary school or younger kids. The house is the last one on the street. The yard is big enough for wiffle ball, horse shoes, badminton etc. The beach is inside cape which means the water can be in the 70+ degree range, and there are no waves. It is usually ideal for beach floats.The cottage is spotless but old, so if hotel level is your minimum acceptable, this is not for you. I would also make sure you have some plans for entertainment if you have teenagers because there not a lot for them to do in Brewster. Bikes, trails, beach is about it.

Great beach house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is much cuter in person than in the photos and with an updated tv and toilet. The rental price is very fair considering most of the house is not at all updated and will remind of what your (great) grandmother's house looked like 30-40 yrs ago (ex orange trash cans with floral stencil and vintage linoleum. It's very close to the beach and fun so it was easy to live without certain perks and aesthetics for a week (Natural History museum, hiking trials, tourist shopping) . The house was extremely clean upon arrival and in very good condition. The kitchen has most things you'll need like utensils, cups and plates. Some of the bureau draws have a strong musty scent and the bed linens are too shabby (but likely very clean) to want to sleep with but the pillows are ok, just bring your own pillowcase and linens. The screened in porch is the best! Equipped with a plastic dinning room table/chairs and is perfect for family dinners and then drive to 'the scoop' for ice cream and come back to the porch to watch the fireflies (this house's yard has a ton). fyi: Nearest laundromat, large gym and chain grocery store are both about 6 miles away in Orleans. We found so much to do outside the house that we were there for only breakfast, dinners and sleep. The house has a few fans which cooled it down just fine esp if you're not accustomed to ac. The house is in a quiet nook off the street and a >5 min walk to the beach which is was never crowded when I was there at the end of June. We will probably rent this same beach house again next year.
