Maison Rose in Toiny: Pretty Three Bedrooms Villa close to the Beach

In keeping with St. Barth’s traditional homes, this villa incorporates beautiful outdoor living spaces across the large terrace with several separate “casas” that are three bedrooms (new primary bedroom on the top with a great view of the sea from your bed !) , a kitchen and living area, sitting room and dining room, with multiple spaces to relax and contemplate the sea. Situated just above the Toiny Beach, you will enter the villa from the two-car private parking area above and behind the villa. A walkway lined with palm trees and bougainvillea brings you to the picturesque terrace, with a mosaic of a sailboat created by a well-known St.Barth’s mosaic artist. A combined kitchen and living room (salon) opens up to sea, with a protected dining area with a teak dining table for six, and a charming reading room just behind it.

Across the terracotta terrace from the salon is an air-conditioned bedroom with attached bathroom, a queen-size bed, and breathtaking views of the sea. It overlooks another outdoor dining area protected from the sun by a flower-laden pergola, and the swimming pool. The second bedroom is on the far side of the pool, also with a queen-size bed, an attached private bathroom, and office area, and a private, shaded back terrace with outdoor shower. The proximity of the swimming pool, dining area, and pool patio with deckchairs and a large sun umbrella make it an ideal space for lounging by the pool for long afternoons of lunch, drinking rosé, and cooling off in the pool.

Ideally located near one of the premier surfing spots on the island, you can sit and watch the surfers, or take a short walk to the nearby Hotel Toiny (rated #1 St. Barths hotel by Travel & Leisure 2021) for a drink or a meal in the main hotel restaurant, or right on the beach at their newer, more casual restaurant where you can dine with your toes in the sand.

The road below the villa has a wide sidewalk and is the best place for runners and walkers to enjoy a long stretch of the “Cote Sauvage” on this stunningly natural side of the island. Hikes over the nearby undeveloped mountains ensure glimpses of Bartian goats grazing and enjoying the breezes. Other beaches, including Petit Cul-de-Sac, Grand Cul-de-Sac, and Saline Beach are all a short drive from the villa. Beach chairs, a cooler, and a sun umbrella are available for your beach use, though you may never want to leave…

Our Tenth Stay at Maison Rose

Wonderful Villa- We loved it

Loved the Villa. Loved the layout. The ocean sound was awesome. And of course - Mowgli is just WONDERFUL! He always sees to our comfort. Screening the the Salon / Kitchen would be very good The cats took our food a few times.

We can’t recommend this villa enough. Everything was tremendous from start to finish. The view is not to be believed. The property manager was exceptional as was the house keeping staff.

A special place

The new bedroom suite is lovely and beautifully designed and integrated into the site. We always appreciate the kind hospitality and availability of Tania and Mowgli. We love the view and the welcoming atmosphere of the house. Making sure that beach chairs and umbrella are available in the villa and in good working condition. If possible, given the increased frequency of wind on the island, beach umbrellas that are better equipped for securing in the sand would be great.

The manager, Mowgli, was exceptional! He helped us with everything from car rentals to dinner resv.

Any minor issues we had were tended to immediately by Mowgli. The listing says the beach is a 14 minute walk, but it is literally right across the street and takes less than two minutes to have your feet in the water! I honestly think we found the best place on the island for our stay. Only complaint is the mosquitoes that accumulated in the open kitchen during the night, ate my brother up, to the point where he could not be in the kitchen in the mornings. Fabulous place though I would rate it a 10 of 10.

Fantastic Hosts

Mowgli and Tania are nothing short of amazing people and hosts! We had some difficulty getting from SXM to St. Barts and our arrival was significantly delayed. Mowgli came to the rescue - picking up our luggage from the airport and securing our rental car prior closing! That wasn't all! They helped us get reservations when we were unable to secure them, they left tasty treats for our arrival - which we devoured after our much longer than expected travel to the island, and they were available for recommendations for restaurants, beaches and other activities. Maison Rose has been our Island home for a number of years now - we love the place. Situated on the quiet side of the island with amazing sunrises and an ocean breeze. Warm sand and tropical water is just steps away. Perfect! We highly recommend working with Mowgli and Tania and staying at Maison Rose! Tamara & Andrew

Our favorite place to vacation

Comfortable, relaxing, spacious, great view of the ocean, and the caretakers of the property are great to work with. Not fancy, but practical for feeling at home.......in a beautiful part of the world. Having some fruit and food basics on hand upon arrival is a special touch. ????????????

Another Great Stay at Maison Rose

We visit St Barths to relax, eat great food and get away from our hectic work schedules. Maison Rose offers a great vista in a quiet part of the island - you only hear the waves crashing on the beach just steps away from the villa. Mowgli and Tanya are exceptional hosts and are happy to help with anything from recommendations to scheduling visits from massage therapists! You cannot go wrong with this duo! See you next year!

The Not-So Tiny Rose

Superb service from the management team guiding us through difficult Covid travel. They made the stay so comfortable. And the villa was spacious/private with the most “savage” beach views. Enjoyed watching surfers and getting to know the turtle family living just below us. Fewer mosquitoes

Memorable stay, as usual

We have been coming to Maison Rose over the last 15 years, and each stay has been memorable as ever. It used to be super quiet, but though somewhat busier, it is still relatively quiet area of the island. Love the ocean view, and the home is comfortable. Mowgli and Tania were excellent hosts, with near immediate response to all requests, and we felt well cared for. mosquitos are a mild nuisance. Internet is spotty at times but looks like improvements are on the way with a switch to fibre cable next year.
