This property is a Myrtle Beach landmark and features an expansive pool deck with indoor and outdoor pools. On-site you will find the Ground Floor Cafe, proudly serving Starbucks and sweet treats. Indigo Coastal Kitchen on the second floor is open for breakfast and dinner. Hours vary by season. During our warmest months, we open our pool bar during our warmest months and schedule live entertainment on the pool deck.

Free Attraction Ticket Program - All Oceana Resorts guests are provided with a package of tickets from local partners. The program offers one free ticket from up to three partners per reservation, and additional tickets are available to purchase when the free tickets are redeemed. Details are updated seasonally on our property-specific websites. Children's Activities - This program is available at Carolinian Beach Resort, Patricia Grand, and Bay Watch from mid-June through mid-August. Activities include shark tooth hunts, crafts, pool games, and more!Snowbird Activities - This program is available at Carolinian Beach Resort, Patricia Grand, and Bay Watch each winter from early January through mid-March. These activities build on the snowbird community we have each winter. Activities include card games, crafts, bingo, field trips, Waffle Wednesday meet-n-greets, and more! This property is managed by Vacasa South Carolina LLC.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Mattresses! 😬

Loved the view and the balcony. Loved that it had kitchenette. Hated the mattresses and the poor cleaning of the room. The staff was great..

Room was filthy

We loved the resort amenities and the staff was very friendly but when we got to the room it was filthy. The kitchen area especially but also found hair and urine behind the toilet. The kitchen had grease or something all on the side of the refrigerator. Baseboards and walls had something all over them.

Clean and convenient

Clean and equipped with all necessities. Compared with other like-units in the Pattricia Grand, this one is cleaner and conveniently located on the 4th floor near the stairs when the elevators get very busy which happens all the time.

4 months in the PG!

The people were so friendly and helpful. Many were my friends by the time I left. The unit was fine. I would have liked to get rid of one bed to make more room, it was very tight. But it’s location, view, amanities, kitchen, etc. we’re perfect.

No cold water.

Loved the cleanliness of the room. It was well stocked with everything to make a meal. Loved the view, almost totally oceanfront. Loved the white bed spread, comforter, and sheets. No need to worry about cleanliness here, white shows almost everything. Staff were very friendly and helpful except for Cristol at the front desk. It took her some time to stop looking on her phone and notice me ( I was standing directly in front of her). I had to finally say Excuse me. Ate in the restaurant, the food and staff were very good I think our waitress' name was Andrea. She was top notch, friendly, and helpful. On the negative side, we had very little cold water. You could not stand in the shower to bathe. If a child were placed in the shower they would have suffered 2nd degree burns. Called the front desk for maintenance (4 times over 2 days). Last 2 guys said they had come to the room earlier, but nobody answered. We were there, we made the call. They tried in the bathroom and in the kitchen. They were there for probably an hour and couldn't fix it. Kept saying it was cooler, but still couldn't stand the heat of the water. Told us nobody else complained about not having cold water. Messaged Vacasa and they said something to call the maintenance dept. This did not work. Considered going downstairs to the outdoor shower and washing hair, arms and legs. Washed my hair in kitchen sink (it had some cold water). I thought about how I could rig something up to get the cooler water from the kitchen to the tub to shower, but couldn't figure out a way. I asked Vacasa if they had an alternative so that my sister and I could shower. Again they said contact maintenance. This didn't help. I was angry about not being able to take a shower. At Myrtle Beach it was hot, you get sandy at the beach and may take 2 showers each day. As previously stated this was impossible. I would tell friends to rent here. Everything else was fine. Beware of room #432. It has no cold water in the shower. Also, elevators are very slow.

Upgrades needed

When we arrived the sheets, pillow cases, and comforters were stained/dirty. The bathroom floor and shower was dirty and dingy. Housekeeping did come to change the bedding and cleaned the bathroom. The bottom of the sliding closet door was very rusted. The room definitely needs an upgrade.

My review

This was the 2nd room they had to move me to because the first one had roaches and 0432 room had bugs also and the floors was not clean. The only thing I could say I like was the view on the 4th floor

Great!

Loved proximity to beach, steak & egg breakfast was so good. Love I can take my four legged baby. Only 1 small complaint. Picture on site did not match furniture in actual room. Needs a comfortable chair with ottoman in the room for light sleepers, somewhere comfortable to sit other than bed to read or watch TV.

Almost perfect

Room had not been updated yet but it was comfortable and the view amazing. I wish the bathroom was bigger i felt a little Claustrophobic in there. Staff was great and I appreciate hope comfortable and entertaining they was to me and my guest. I will come back again soon

Disappointed

We have been coming to the Patricia Grand off and on over the course of 10-12 years. It was a great place to stay, at first, but each time we could see things weren’t as nice as previous stays. But, this past vacation was very disappointing. Our room was dirty (shower curtain moldy, dusty furniture and appliances, a bathroom that needs cosmetic attention, had to go to the front desk daily for fresh towels, washcloths, empty our trash and deal with an old air conditioning unit that didn’t cool well). We had saved our money over the past year to get away for a much needed vacation. We were so disappointed to have to spend our long awaited vacation in a less than desirable “resort”. We will not be returning to or recommending Patricia Grand to our friends and family. One plus is the nice pool area and easy access to the beach. We also ate breakfast at the restaurant on the second floor. The food was good and the service exceptional.

Pros and Cons

Loved the ocean view and the room was decent EXCEPT the bathroom smelled like raw sewage! There’s an issue with the pipes and/or plumbing because the stench is obvious! What makes it worse is that the bathroom is directly across from the kitchen where you are preparing food!
